  1. Today we arrive at the colorful provisional finale of the Traxx sneak peeks. This time, we are showing the four remaining Traxx locomotives, as well as a new freight wagon repaint that was created along the way. The design of E186-133 should look familiar, although this locomotive is red instead of the well-known green. It was delivered in green in 2008 and immediately wrapped in OHE red. Before it actually entered service for OHE, it spent some time running under D-BTK as a test/demo locomotive for other companies, including LOTOS. As a result, it spent some time in Poland, which is why we decided to recreate it as well. Nowadays, it is back in its “normal” green-grey appearance. E186-245, on the other hand, is shown in its current condition. It was also rather unspectacular in the familiar design for a long time, but with its latest main inspection in 2024, it received the modern bright green/grey Alpha Trains design, making it unique so far. It is currently running for PCC Intermodal, but in our version it will nevertheless be found on all kinds of freight trains. As some of you had already suspected, we have also recreated E186-941 and E186-942. These are LTE locomotives and now carry the stylish “Attracktive Forces” wraps. However, after delivery, they ran for a while in an unwrapped design and therefore only featured two different shades of blue. Since we cannot recreate the “proper” wrap for licensing reasons, these locomotives will appear in this post-delivery, pre-wrap condition. The 941 has been recreated in a clean state, while the 942 is shown dirty. Just like the CargoUnit locomotives, these machines also feature several changes to the locomotive body, which we have taken into account as far as possible. Last but not least, we also have a new orange 60-foot container wagon. Like the existing Sgns/434Z, it belongs to the Cargo Pack DLC. The reason for including this wagon among the Traxx previews is that it also belongs to PCC Intermodal, making it a perfect match for the orange/blue Traxx locomotives 242, 246, and 248 - which is why it is included here. Just like the standard wagon, it can also run at 120 km/h when loaded. It will mostly be found in trains hauled by PCC locomotives, but it may also appear mixed into other trains.

  2. Before we get to the provisional finale tomorrow, things will be a little more plain today. With E186-136, E186-138, and E186-139, we are bringing three rather single-colored, universal locomotives into the game, which will add a bit more variety to the overall lineup. E186-136 comes in an all-white design with the familiar blue Railpool decorative stripe. It is depicted in its 2014/15 condition, during which time it also operated for DB Fernverkehr and PKP Intercity. This gives us the opportunity to use the locomotive in the game for both passenger and freight services. By comparison, E186-138 is a pure freight locomotive. It is also completely white, but without the blue decorative stripe. The dirt textures used on the Traxx in the game are based on this locomotive - so it is only logical that it will also appear dirty in the game. Compared to the other two, it is numbered as D-ITL, as it still runs in this form today. E186-139 is also white without a decorative stripe. However, it is kept clean and, compared to the others, is marked as D-AKIEM. This locomotive will also be used exclusively in freight service in SimRail.

  3. Today we continue with the upcoming repaints for the Traxx. The design itself has already been shown, but today it is about two representatives of PKP Cargo: EU43-003 and EU43-004. Both basically feature the familiar Alpha Trains design, but stand out because of the very distinctive yet very simple text on the locomotive sides. On the front, the locomotives carry blue running numbers, which do not really match the design all that well. EU43-003 is the dirtier of the two. Delivered in 2007 as E186-128, it already received the simple but striking “PKP CARGO Spółka Akcyjna” lettering on its side in 2008, before being given a new blue-and-yellow PKP Cargo wrap in 2009. Be that as it may, in the condition we are depicting, the locomotive was used by both PKP Cargo and PKP Intercity - which is why it will also operate in mixed passenger and freight service in our version. EU43-004, on the other hand, is still kept in a cleaner condition. It shares roughly the same history as EU43-003. It was delivered as E186-131, then received the PKP Cargo lettering, followed by the blue-and-yellow company livery, and around 2012 the wrap was removed again. Since then, it has been running in the standard green/grey Alpha Trains color scheme. This locomotive, too, will be used in both freight and passenger services in the game. Next week things will get a bit more colorful again - stay tuned!

  4. This week is going to be colorful! Coming to the game soon are three of PCC Intermodal’s E186 locomotives. They stand out thanks to their distinctive orange/blue livery, which makes cab 1 and cab 2 fundamentally different in design. On all three locomotives, the roof in particular reveals the color scheme underneath the wrap: the green/grey Alpha Trains design. E186-242 is the first of the three locomotives. It is especially notable on cab 2, where the wrap is already missing from the front hatch. In addition, the headlight surrounds have already been replaced, meaning they are now red/white on both sides instead of blue/orange. E186-246, on the other hand, is still in somewhat better condition. The difference here is that the handrails and the side cameras were not rewrapped and have remained green. This locomotive also features a different font on the front, and it has been given dirt textures as well. E186-248 is the third locomotive, and it once again looks a little different. Here, the edge of the wrap on the roof sits very low, making it immediately visible. It also has a different font for the locomotive number on the front and, compared to the other two, carries the Polish number (5270). Similar to 242, it also has unwrapped headlight surrounds — but the hatch on the blue side is still intact.

  5. This week will probably be a little less spectacular for you. You should all already be familiar with the CargoUnit Traxx E186-929. Now we are adding the two remaining representatives: E186-928 and E186-930. Of course, just like E186-134, all locomotive designs have been redesigned and brought up to a better standard overall, especially in terms of fonts and lettering. You are already familiar with E186-929. Its lettering and fonts have been revised, and the structures on the locomotive side have been improved, with some textures also being enhanced. By comparison, E186-928 has the same design, but at some point the locomotive number on the front was covered over, so it is now only faintly visible through the sticker. And then there is E186-930, which stands out because the locomotive number is written slightly differently on both sides of the locomotive. All three locomotives will operate in a mix of freight and passenger services. Even though these three are not that special, I think it increases loco diversity ingame. Stay tuned for next weeks sneak peek, it will show other and also new designs.

  6. One day earlier than usual, we are slowly heading towards the final stretch of the Traxx previews. As some of you had already suspected, hoped for, or spotted in the images from previous weeks, the iconic blue PKP Cargo locomotives simply had to be included as part of the Traxx lineup. We are getting three of them, one of which is a little special. All three are blue, but feature an advertisement on the side with a green grass motif. EU43-001, compared to the other two locomotives, has both a partially white/red front and a mirrored locomotive side on the right in the direction of travel. Here, the grass motif is on the right side, whereas on all other locomotive sides it is on the left. It was the first one in this design. It was delivered in 2008 as E186-128 and operated with PKP Cargo from 2007 to 2011/12, although towards the end it already received a slightly different PKP Cargo design. EU43-002 has a completely blue front and is depicted in the game in clean condition. It was also delivered in 2008 and went directly to PKP Cargo, where it soon received its blue design. Nowadays, it is running as E186-127 in the green/grey Alpha Trains livery. EU43-005 was delivered as E186-132 and also ran with PKP Cargo until 2012. In terms of design, it has been implemented exactly like EU43-002, but in the game it will be shown in a dirty condition. It is also now back in the standard Alpha Trains design. All three locomotives will mainly operate in freight service, but will also appear very occasionally in passenger service. A short side note: EU43-006 will not be included, as this corresponds to E186-134, which is already available ingame in the standard green/grey design.

  8. We were not idle during the quieter period. Over the coming weeks, we will be showing newly created repaints for the Traxx E186 here. We are starting this series with the rework of the E186-134, as well as two further representatives of the same design: E186-241 and E186-250. The design has been slightly revised; the most obvious change is probably the grey locomotive side instead of the white one. Let us start with the reworked E186-134. In addition to the grey locomotive side, most of the changes were made to the inscriptions and locomotive numbers. Once seen as EU43-006 with PKP Intercity and PKP Cargo, it is now only used in freight traffic. However, in order not to break all habits, it will remain available in SimRail for both passenger and freight trains. E186-241 was in service with DB Fernverkehr from 2008 to 2014 and is therefore also numbered D-DB. It was mainly seen hauling the Berlin-Warsaw Express, which is why its area of use in SimRail will be mainly limited to PKPIC trains. Towards the end of its time with DB, it even carried a DB logo - however, we have depicted an earlier state here. By comparison, E186-250 is used exclusively in freight traffic. Initially carrying side advertising, it has since been running in Alpha Trains’ plain design. Unlike the other two locomotives shown, however, this one has both the German and Polish locomotive numbers on the front. It has been operating for Transchem for quite some time now - but for simplicity’s sake, it will be found hauling all kinds of freight trains in SimRail.

  10. Besides the game getting stale, you have the issue of the community at large. Things I've witnessed myself: Insulting and belittling people, either because they don't speak the server's language, or because they disagree about how to "play" SimRail Griefing drivers by holding them in a station for much longer than necessary, citing "timetable reasons" Griefing drivers by shuffling trains around (e.g. letting a freight overtake a pendolino), for the same reasons Refusing any kind of non-standard dispatch action (read: something different than setting the same route you do every hour) that would improve the traffic flow (e.g. letting a train overtake on the left track, which is completely empty for the next hour, or re-scheduling a PT on a different station) Griefing other players by stopping between stations for no reason, or driving very slowly on purpose (i.e. not just an ETCS failure or something similar) Generally just being unresponsive to inquiries over chat or voice Entitled pricks that think they deserve to have priority, or deserve to be praised for their behaviour I'm fairly certain I've been targeted multiple times on the Polish servers just because my language isn't set to Polish. I've been put aside at stations where I did not have a PT, was not delayed (was early, even), was not blocking traffic (neither before nor in front of me was any train), and several times for multiple hours. I've had the next-hour train pass me by more than I can count. There's this huge idea that "This is [LANG] server, we speak [LANG] here, go to [OTHER] server if you want to play" which seems widespread among... all the language servers I've tried out in the past. The idea is absolutely great, and I loved the interactions between dispatchers and drivers in the first few months when it came out. However, it just degraded from there. There's no guidelines or rules for anything, which meant two things: One, moderators can kick, ban, or otherwise punish players as they see fit with little to no recourse or even idea about what went wrong (with later added vague statements about "not ruining the fun" and similar), and two, it's not clear what it's even meant to be. Some people treat SimRail like a hobby model railway simulator, push button make train go stop. I've had people in Idizkowice try to fill all tracks because they felt it was "fun" (explicitly stated like that). There's another sub-group which may not treat it as a toy sim, but definitely doesn't care much about e.g. efficiency. So what if I've delayed all trains to Katowice by 40min by sending a freight train on the left track? It's fun to do and I couldn't know that, it's no big deal, it's just a game. Completely ignoring that there's people that would like to drive something rather than admire the beautiful scenery of Olszamowice. Other people treat SimRail like it's a hyper-realistic Polish (or German/British/whatever server you're currently in) simulator. Proper and precise communication like in the real world is required, you're sometimes bugged to fill out forms, and god beware if you're diverging from any kind of script (including the timetable), whether on purpose or on accident. The third group is probably somewhere in-between, and was originally the largest. People that liked to drive trains, were trying to stick to the timetable, but not stuck-up sticklers for the rules. In the end, I think the lack of variation (e.g. moving the slow speed areas around a bit, having variations in the timetable more frequently, providing any kind of break from the monotony) would have helped a lot. Making sure to define what multiplayer is supposed to be like, and how to act, would have helped a lot. Making sure that people that actively harm other player's fun get punished would have helped a lot. Having the world be less empty would have helped a lot, too. I've played some great singleplayer scenarios (and had to restart them often because apparently the game is super finicky when it comes to scripting), and having cars and trains standing around the sidings, having AI trains going by, shunting and all that made the world feel so more alive. Multiplayer, especially at the larger stations, just feels empty in comparison.

  12. Zapomnij, to forum to nisza.

Ktoś to zamierza naprawić chociaż do końca czerwca?

  15. Witam. Przedstawiam kolejny scenariusz stworzony w oparciu o realistyczny rozkład jazdy. Tym razem gracz poprowadzi pociąg IC 5422 Doker relacji Gdynia Główna - Katowice, na dwóch odcinkach Zgierz - Zduńska Wola Karsznice, oraz Zawiercie - Katowice. Scenariusz zawiera zdarzenia losowe, kończy się manewrami oraz jazdą pociągiem próżnym do Katowic Zawodzia wraz zjazdem do grupy postojowej. Scenariusz należy wypakować do katalogu: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SimRail\SimRail_Data\StreamingAssets\Sceneries\99_CustomScenarios\Scenarios\ Hello. I present another scenario created based on a realistic timetable. This time, the player will drive the IC 5422 Doker train on the Gdynia Główna - Katowice route, on two sections: Zgierz - Zduńska Wola Karsznice, and Zawiercie - Katowice. The scenario includes random events and ends with shuntings and an empty train to Katowice Zawodzie, with a stopover at the holding group. The scenario should be extracted to the following directory: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SimRail\SimRail_Data\StreamingAssets\Sceneries\99_CustomScenarios\Scenarios\ IC 5422 Doker.zip

  16. SimRail Train Compositions Viewer A tool that visually displays the composition of trains currently active on SimRail servers. I have been developing this app for some time now. You might find it useful for: Checking if there are any interesting trains currently on the server. Finding out what cargo a specific freight train is carrying. Viewing how many cars a train contains. Available in Polish, English and Czech. maty556677.github.io/TrainCompositions How to use the search parameters: There are many ways to search. You will surely understand how the operations work once you have used them, but here is a quick list of the methods that can be used. Search directly by train number or train name (7215 or Zembrzuski). Separate multiple train numbers with commas (7215, 16175). Filter trains by a specific vehicle type or vehicle nickname (EN96, ET25, Impuls, A9mnouz). Use a dash to search for a range of train numbers (1830-1999). Use the '+' symbol to combine search terms (E186+MPE to find all MPE trains hauled by an E186).

Zagraniczni gracze to zupełnie inny poziom kultury. Boty zresztą też 😉

  23. Problem is, the game got a bit stale. I haven't touched it for at least three months. Got a bit disillusioned with the CD163 and the "realistic" buzzing noise and the last route extension was just more of the same. In fact, it's currently uninstalled to make room on my HD for TSC. I had hoped more work would be forthcoming on the SP game, though I used to enjoy the odd bit of MP. Chicken and egg, because if the English language server is dead, other than the better timetable you might as well be running single player, at least (when the save game behaves) you can pick up where you left off. I love the Polish routes and locos but that doesn't mean I don't crave to have something closer to home (UK) and until SimRail can scratch that itch, then TSW and TSC have the edge. And what happened to the US route which was supposed to be in development? Even a nice sleepy diesel worked branch line for SimRail would be more appealing than the relatively flat and straight main lines the game offers. Frankly if the multiplayer side of things is dying, time they looked at buffing the SP game - like give us the full timetable to choose from.

  27. From my point of view, the ability board trains driven by the AI or other people would be a nice addition. It would be nice to travel along with other friends in the cab and/or in the carriages of the same train, driven by one of them, or by the AI. That would probably include us to be able to join a server without being assigned a train; just select a station to spawn in, walk around and board the trains that are running around and travel, like some kind of on-foot free roam. A further improvement from this would be if we could be able to also take over and drive the trains that are driven by the AI or even other people (only while stopped and only if they approve). All these ideas may also be applicable to the single player mode. Train Sim World already does something similar to this idea, but in single player mode only, as that game has no multi player mode.

  28. [PL] Witam! PS. Wiele rzeczy na zdjęciach nie jest pokazanych! Zrobione jest dużo więcej w samej aplikacji. [EN] Hello! Today I'd like to present a general outline of the passenger information system project. For now, I'll show you photos, and later, I think by the end of May, I plan to release a fully functional passenger information system application. This application will support both Polish and, to a large extent, English. Other languages are still under consideration, although I haven't ruled out their inclusion in future versions of the application. For now, the application is only available to a small group of beta testers. I hope to have the application completed by the end of May of this year, although getting everything truly perfect isn't easy, as every formula must be carefully crafted. It's based on the original PKP PLK documentation, which makes the whole thing even more realistic. By the way, There's a lot of stuff not shown in the photos! There's a lot more done in the app itself.

  34. Hello everyone, It’s been a while, but I’m back with a major update. For several weeks now, I’ve been testing a new website with timetables, which is available to everyone at new website: https://thefloxicz.github.io/SR/timetables/ What’s new? - A modern, simple, and clean design - More advanced user tools—Light/Dark Mode, Timetable Search, Train/consist search within timetables - A more user-friendly interface Why did I decide to move the timetables? Unfortunately, the original scope and number of trains made it impossible to update them easily. A large part of the work was still done manually, even though I generated a lot of the data. Major updates have been taking me many hours lately (often 10+ hours), and even minor updates were a nightmare. This also affected the frequency of updates and the accuracy of the data, which began to drift over time. I gradually began working on a web-based system, which is currently hosted on GitHub. Now I can easily update all the timetables in just a few minutes. There’s still quite a bit of initial setup and data processing involved, but I save a lot of time. Thanks to this, updates on the website will be much more frequent. Since the current timetable is constantly being corrected and changed over time, this will really help me keep it up to date. I believe you'll like the new website much more than the original Google Sheets. I'd appreciate any feedback. Have fun! TheFloxiCz

It's a shame signalman mode hasn't extended to single player, throw in a few random delays to make life interesting and the ability to save and thus do a full 8 or 12 hour shift over several sessions. Anyhow, as I type this, SimRail currently reinstalling. Going to be spending much more time playing it and less in TSW, following DTG's decision to remove large sections of their forum in particular General Discussion and I'm certainly not going to be buying much DLC from them. Roll on the next Simrail add on!

New version / Nowa wersja [PL] 🚩 Opis scenariusza: Katastrofa kolejowa pod Szczekocinami – czołowe zderzenie dwóch pociągów pasażerskich, do którego doszło 3 marca 2012 w miejscowości Chałupki, w pobliżu Szczekocin (województwo śląskie), o 20:55 na 21,250 kilometrze[1] linii kolejowej nr 64 (Koniecpol–Kozłów). Ku pamięci ofiar. ℹ️ Informacje: Scenariusz stworzony w celach naukowo-rekonstrukcyjnych, starałem się go zakodować w taki sposób - by nie uczynić z niego rozrywki. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ [ENG] 🚩 Scenario description: Railroad disaster near Szczekociny - a head-on collision between two passenger trains, which occurred on March 3, 2012 in the village of Chałupki, near Szczekociny (Silesian province), at 20:55 on 21.250 kilometer of railroad line No. 64 (Koniecpol-Kozłów). In memory of the victims. ℹ️ Info: The scenario created for scientific-reconstruction purposes, I tried to code it in such a way - not to make it as entertainment. Originally there was involved EP09 for TLK and ET22 for IR, of course I replaced EP09 with EP08, and for those - who don't have Cargo Pack, in the download section I added a separate file with EU07 instead of ET22 for IR. Minor inaccuracies in the exact minutes may result, report any errors you notice. 🤏 Misc: Duration: ~20 min Radio: PL Subtitles: PL/ENG 🖥️ Installation: Unzip 'Tuco' folder here: steamapps\common\SimRail\SimRail_Data\StreamingAssets\Sceneries Keep in mind i included my previous scenario in the folder too (ep08/et22). Modifications and code changes only after my consent 29.10.2024 Fixed issue when good PC was loading virtual dispatcher unexpected fast. Naprawiono błąd, z ładowaniem pociągu w przypadku dobrego komputera (wirtualny dyspozytor ładował się nieprzewidzianie przeze mnie szybko) 27.12.2024 1. Fixed bugs caused by new update 2. Added screen darkening when changing locomotives and before crash 3. Added new information about the use of Pc2 1. Naprawiono błędy spowodowane nowym updatem 2. Dodano zaciemnienie ekranu przy zmianie lokomotywy i przed zderzeniem 3. Dodano nową informację o użyciu Pc2 ⬇️ DOWNLOAD ⬇️ et22.zipeu07.zip

  39. Magnificient, beautiful, awesome! Thank you, sir. Maybe one observation: Signalbox symbol (example, source) should be oriented towards rails. Olszamowice examples:

  42. INT1 is the largest english-speaking server for european players, DE1 the same for the german community. By merging these servers you always would lose one of these groups just by forcing them to use a different language. Yes, playing together with players instead of AI is way more fun and entertaining. But your approach would hurt SimRail and many players. However, I don't quite see the need for seven INT- and three DE-Servers. One or two DE-servers would be enough, and maybe three INT ones. Merging servers within their own language would be the better option than your suggestion.

  47. Would it be possible to programm a little window in the CCTV camera so you could jump from camera 2 to 4 and 1? So something like this in the picture below? Because it sucks like in Łódź Chojny you need to click trough every camera to close the railway crossings. There it would be easy to controll the crossings over the relays desk. Because Łódź Chojny the relay desk is kinda fictional so why don't put the railway crossing buttons on the desk. So just place there some buttons to controll the crossings. It would be make is much easier

  48. What you said is exactly what I have tried. You still ricochet due to the bumpers on these types of locos at any slow speed, and no these consists are not spawning in with their hand brakes set. The moment you make contact while coupling they move at least 2 feet or more. I do not use a controller or Rail Driver, I have to use keyboard controls. Remember what I said. In the US we do not use the hook coupler or bumpers that are used in European trains. In the US locos can couple at 3MPH to 5 MPH with no ricochet. There is very little movement when they make contact with a consist. SimRail should have the ability to set handbrakes beyond the loco, and even adjust the bumper impact to prevent bouncing off it even if just slight.

Pozdrawiam
