  That sounds awesome. Doesn't even need to be an MMO server – an ad-hoc two-player session with a singleplayer scenario could do the same (though I'm unsure whether that would be harder or easier to implement and maintain).

  On-foot free roam and ability to board somebody else's train
  
  According to the old forum post linked below, the ability to open the doors of other players' trains once existed, but was removed due to abuse. Perhaps a new version of this feature could require the approval of the player controlling the train before another player is allowed to open doors or to board. I am interested in something resembling the proposed feature because I have been trying to teach my real-life friends to play SimRail over the past few months. Currently, this is accomplished by attaching two mice to the same computer. It would be very convenient if two people, each running a copy of the game and connected to the same multiplayer server, could sit together in the cab of the same train and operate that train's controls together.

  Originale Logos im Steam Workshop hinzufügen.
  
  Er meint, dass SimRail bzw. die Fahrzeug-Erbauer nachträglich ein Mod mit den Logos rausbringen könnte, ohne rechtliche Probleme dafür zu bekommen. Ob sie es auch dürfen, ist fraglich. Zu einem ist das Logo zumindest markenrechtlich, ggf. urheberrechtlich geschützt. Sprich, es kann durch aus sein, dass man auch für kostenlose Veröffentlichungen (wie z.B. Mods) eine Erlaubnis/Lizenz benötigt. Wobei bei soetwas meistens die Hürden niedriger sind. Des weiteren muss sich SimRail ans polnischen Recht halten. Hier können also Sachen anders geregelt sein, als in Deutschland. Es kann also durchaus sein, dass der Ersteller von OMSI-DLC Thüringer Wald eine Gesetzeslücke ausnutzt, die es in Polen so nicht gibt. Zur guter Letzt gehen zumindest in Deutschland viele Modersteller das Risiko ein, Logos in ihren Mods zu verwenden, obwohl nicht sicher ist, ob sie es auch dürfen, weil die hinter den entsprechenden Logo stehenden Unternehmen dies meist sowieso bei Freeware nicht verfolgen. Und die wenigen "Problemfirmen" (z.B. DB, wenn es um die ICE geht), sind in der Moddingszene meist bekannt.
