Please rework the train selection menu
SurvivorSean replied to Blacky's topic in Suggestions for improvements
Perhaps a link to this new map would be helpful with an automatic focus. That would avoid any additional programming of fetching the server. Thanks Sean -
Level decreased from 7 back to 1
SurvivorSean replied to Bescot's topic in Bug reporting (multiplayer)
Still important to know especially if some kind of qualification is required to operate certain equipment. I do agree about points, medals, fireworks, cut screens, and pats on the back to make you feel so accomplished. Thanks Sean -
Traxx Tutorial add tip for using ZEW before red signal
SurvivorSean replied to Bravura Lion's topic in Issues archive
Questions does the AI respond to the ZEW buttons (nothing in chat required?) both in SP and MP? I do use them as I'm aware of them. I agree they should be in the tutorial if they aren't already. Thanks Sean -
Yeah I was wondering about that in the MP but didn't mind it as I always like to look at the signals anyways. Good to know. Thanks Sean

There is a signal failure? I'm looking forward to this tonight! Thanks Sean

If and I'm still not certain this is Early Access in January I think it will be ready, but will certainly understand a delay. Especially if the playtest is open and it gets us to that point. Not sure how playtests act in the steam library once there is a release (I would imaging the MP server access would change so nothing happens, and you just have some tutorials). I don't mind the single player test as it is. They should slowly add more trains in to really test the system but that is of course their call. I know some people are not happy about the single player being so few. I haven't tried it yet but I already have my own opinion. Single player under the current schedule would be the same trains at different times of the day (pretty much the same hourly). I'm not sure how single player is going to evolve but there is a demand for it as some people don't want to bother with MP. Thanks Sean

Run8 is also as real as it gets and the graphics aren't too bad (not as good as some of the modern titles) and has raildriver support built in. I agree and hope they don't dumb it down. Options are always the optimal solution as it allows both player types to be happy. Thanks Sean
-
I think the only option is to go the menu and find the train and get back in. Thanks Sean

I did notice that once before. Interesting.

Might want to add a suggestion. Thanks Sean

I expect fireworks before this is released 🙂

EU07 tutorial has a schedule you just can't follow

I want to play Sosnowiec Główny as a newbie
SurvivorSean replied to Skully's topic in General Discussion
I thought signs were for the driver not the dispatcher. Perahaps I'm misunderstanding something then. Thanks Sean -
Yeah just like I've heard TSW is the best train simulator out there. The only timed I tried it is when they offered V1 for free. It is off my system now. In other words I wouldn't put that crap on my system if it was free. Run 8 lasted about 10 years for me and it never really hit mainstream. I have a funny feeling this is hitting main stream because it's competing more directly with what TSW does in Europe and destroying it. Thanks Sean

They might be prototypical if I understand current freight operations properly. I think I recall seeing that they don't shunt much and are mainly unit trains. Now having the light power moves from other trains or coupling up to the terminal I'm sure is very prototypical and probably on it's way. Just my guesses from what I've heard. The red flags are in place on those tracks from my observations. Thanks Sean

For someone who never played the prologue I'm going to enjoy this then go back to MP and apply my skills. I know there are plenty of other sessions planned. Perhaps another Q&A would help. The danger here is many people's expectations are now sky high despite this not being an official release yet. Think of how much has changed in MP since the playtest became active. Because of those high expectations people are going to trash what as is now is a very good MP early release. The single player needs to be developed and I'm sure it will. Thanks Sean
-
Nope! In fact I never got prologue and I found my way. Granted I did have over 15 years (predated MSTS whever that was and the SIAM simulators - There was some other title way before that) of train sim experience. Thanks Sean
-
Yes this is the worse playtest I've ever been on 🙂 In fact it's also the best because it's the only one I've been on except a pre-release beta team for Run8. The fact that it hasn't downloaded before I get to go to work the day after has ruined my day 🙂 Thanks Sean

This is a very fair constructive concern. I think they are going to release it or they will postpone it being an early release. I'm not sure what delays they had in the past but I heard they had some and what was communicated. It's an interesting point considering the update came the morning after a roadmap (which is a guide of course) was going for. I think it will be worthy of an early access game but I'll have to see the single player once it finishes downloading and I come home after work tonight. Either way I'm very happy of the progress and status of the current sim. Thanks Sean

YouTube Copyright claim after streaming SimRail
SurvivorSean replied to trainsimulatordriver's topic in General Discussion
Oh well I'm not quit at 1000 subscribers yet despite having over 10 years of content. Ahh the life of someone who sticks with Train Sims for his content. Hopefully it can be resolved if not I have been making sure the server is up BEFORE recording as of late. I don't edit I simply live stream and I think YouTube does have an option to remove it if I recall. Thanks Sean -
Honestly it was pretty civil in here until a few days ago. Not sure what changed as I tend to speak my mind and get in trouble for it quite a bit. Constructive criticisim and just people mainly appreciating the hard work they are doing and the privelage of being part of a test. The updates have been non-stop and I'm not talking about mentioning issues already known or repeated (that thing happens as not everyone reads every post or can remember). I've been a supporter of another sim and a team who says it will be ready when it's ready. Though I don't agree with that approach they are entitle to do that. This team is telling you what they want to do, listening to feedback, and making changes based on that feedback. People complain they can't get a run through yet first try tonight on EN02 and I'm running for an hour no problem in MP. They're here to test single player not make deadlines based on a plan. Anways I'm headed to bed in a few minutes. I'm glad there are some people here who haven't lost their mind. Thanks Sean

I think paper is cool, but the HUD is much easier to read. Perhaps both with the ability to turn it off like we have now. Thanks Sean
-
LOL! There is enough English here to get us by including Polish developers who speak a little English for us to understand. Thanks Sean

What a bunch of fickle flakes we have here. Wow it's 10:20pm in North America is the game going to turn into a pumpkin becasue I'm going to bed and won't get to play single player. Also why not check the notes of the update upcoming in announcements and ask about this team paying attention. The tutorials that otherwise make this test unplayable will be in. The modifications to the whole thing about kicking people. Yes some things have bugs, and perhaps need adjustments. This team is listening. But if I heard all this whining I would ignore it and focus on the product to those who are willing to pay.Does every moan and groan need a reply. Your a guest on a free playtest. Grow the hell up! Thanks Sean
