  1. Posted this in Bugs and waiting mod approval, but thought I would mention here in the meantime. Driving the EU07 there is an occasional faint but nevertheless quite audible background chat between what appears to be a man and woman, presumably in Polish which keeps looping. This wasn't evident during the play test. Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this?
  2. Driving the EU07, hovering the mouse over the controls and switches I am not always getting the tooltips appearing. Tried clicking the mouse to reset but couldn't get them back.
  3. When driving the EU07, occasionally I am hearing voices two people conversing in the background as well as the traction etc. sounds.
  4. Edited the thread title a bit. Also yes, looks like the option of picking a train off the map from roughly where you left off previously is a reasonable workaround. Took EC41109 earlier from Warsaw for around 50 minutes, now going to look for something else under AI passing that area. Hey is it me, or despite the fairly level looking landscape is there a fairly steep continuous gradient climbing out of Warsaw heading south? My EU07 was struggling at between 75 and 80 km/h for much of the section, maximum tap (43) and shunt regulator at 6 with both pantographs up. That's going to be a great thrash with a steam loco or even better when we get a diesel. Right, enough chat, EC41115 beckons.
  5. Or the scenario editor so we can break it down into shorter legs.
  6. Okay. Folded and rebought. No more drama from me (honest... ).
  7. Thanks Gibber8 and UETAM. Look forward to trying a coal drag later.
  8. Of course this begs the supplementary question, do the wagon weights even change to reflect loaded or empty status? And TBH, with SimRail in development for so long, are they really saying that no one spotted the wagons had no visible load - or was it just something else that got pushed to one side to be covered by the "Early Access" jacket?! 🙂
  9. Another possibility is to at least get the Scenario Editor up and running so users can create a "chain" of runs that takes the same train across the length of the route. These could then be shared via the Steam Workshop. Or in the meantime the devs could look at splitting some of the longer scenarios into 45 or 50 minute sections (as an option). Obviously keep the parent scenario for the few who can spend 4 hours in one go on the PC, or we do get the save game up and running. Anyway as a leap of faith I am rebuying the game later today, once the refund clears into my Steam Wallet and hoping I won't be disappointed.
  10. I suppose a crude solution/workaround might be to use that interactive map (if it still works) find a quiet MP server and a train at the approximate location you left off heading in the same direction, take it over for however long you've got. Rinse and repeat. We shouldn't really have to do it but maybe I will rebuy (once the funds clear) and give that a go.
  11. I always thought my family tree was a mixture of Celtic/Spanish/Viking... 🙂 🙂😉
  12. I understand the pressure they were (are) under but this was a key issue and some earlier transparency and clear statement of intentions would have made all the difference. Those of us asking the question are certainly not "crying Anglo Saxons", which is a little insulting and "some day it will", elicits my response that "some day I will rebuy it."
  13. Well this lack of transparency is about to cost them a sale. Once I've popped a review on Steam and check back here in a couple of hours and still no response I'm hitting the refund button. DTG can have my money instead.
  14. I am getting the sense there will be no save game. I pinged one of the devs in the thread I started about singleplayer and they have not responded. Poised to refund the game at this point, even if the answer is "no" or "coming soon", I could have respect if they actually answered. Just wondering if anyone has asked the question in the Polish or German section and got an answer in the dev's native language?
  15. Just want to know why the devs are so quiet on this issue. Surely they could pop in here and give an assurance that enhancing the SP game and adding a save function is on their "roadmap". Not commenting is going to harm their sales as I am almost certainly going to refund as I'm sure are others. "Early Access" seems to be used increasingly as a ploy to put out unfinished software to start bringing in the money then nothing really changes (just look at TML's "The Bus" - in EA now for 18 months and still buggy as hell). The description on the Steam Store should also reflect that this is primarily a multiplayer game and that SP is currently very limited. @uetam Can we have a response on the SP and Save Game situation, please.

    D DAY !!

Just discovered this and posted in the SP section. Unacceptable when some of the few scenarios included are nearly 4 hours long. Probably going to refund unless the devs give a commitment it is coming and given they ignored my repeated questions in the play test stage I suspect I know the answer.
  17. Similar issue here. screen breaks up with pixelation...
  18. Well have to say the single player side of SimRail is very disappointing. A handful of scenarios, nothing like the full timetable day that TSW offers. Also more importantly, I can see why my repeated questions about the Save Game during playtest were ignored - there isn't one. Sorry but this is unacceptable, some scenarios are nearly 4 hours long and it is unreasonable to expect players to sit at the PC for that length of time. Most of us have lives or commitments away from just playing PC games. Dev Team - can you confirm if it is your intention to enhance the SP game and in particular add the ability to save and resume a run in progress? If not or I do not receive an answer then I will seriously be considering refunding.

    D DAY !!

Can someone look then please and post what we get in the SP game and finally answer the save game question? Many thanks. Edit: Ah what the heck, took the plunge and bought anyway. It's cheaper than a DTG TSW DLC with a 30 mile route and one train.

    D DAY !!

Suspect it will go live at 1800 UTC/GMT which is the usual release time on Steam.
  21. Agree, it was nice to get the opportunity to play test and offer some useful feedback. I didn't get quite as much done as I hoped, what with Covid over Christmas then being put off by the prospect of encountering gankers and griefers in MP but still a worthwhile exercise. Just wish we had been given a bit more to test in the SP game. Still, less than 24 hours now until the retail release.
  22. Thanks for the confirmation. Must admit I enjoyed jumping back in earlier, is it me or the graphics improved slightly not so bright? Anyway I think I will definitely be buying this on Friday, concerns about a save game notwithstanding.
  23. As the title asks really - with release of the retail version at (presumably) 1800 UTC/GMT on Friday 13th (ha!), I'm assuming at some point prior to that the play test will be wound down and the servers switched off? Going to have one last fling on it, though I see with the exception of EN1, most of the English servers are deserted.
  24. Yes only electrics is going to lead to a slight lack of variety.
  25. Correct. If you are in the "8" view while sat in the driving chair you can fly around to your hearts content. But once you physically leave the cab you must walk back to it, there's no magic morph command to suddenly put you back.
