  1. That's interesting then. I've just switched back to the main and will test it later on (wife about to kick me off the PC!).
  2. Think I'm going to switch back to the main branch for now. I tried to load a save game just now in SP Beta and still getting the error box popping up. Hopefully once the CD 163 is out they will revisit the beta.
  3. With the CD 163 set to release on Sunday, was wondering whether it is worth changing back from running the SP Beta to the main game path? How much will it get to do in the beta version plus we only have the one MP server.
  4. Steam just grabbed a 1.4Gb update. Nothing in the Announcements about whether this is an update to the main version or the SP beta (which I'm currently running) or what issues have actually been addressed. Any chance the devs could update and provide a change list, please?
  5. The first rule of Fight Club... applies! I think generally so long as you act in a mature and responsible manner, for most of us there's nothing to worry about. Drive your train sensibly and try to avoid passing a signal at red. Don't abandon your train when it should be moving, though I think these days the bot steps in fairly quickly. Don't mess players about if you're signalling and if you want to learn a particular signalbox, pick one of the dead servers to do it (another reason why we need to be able to do signalling in SP). Also I think, don't abuse the chat feature,
  6. It's a pity they can't just roll back to the pre 16/01 SP beta version, while trying to identify what has gone wrong. Otherwise it negates the whole point of having the beta version for us to test in the first place, if it's not updated or fixed in a timely manner. I know they are probably juggling this with sorting out initial issues with the Xbox version and finalising the CD 163 for next week but it would be good if the matter got some priority.
  7. Thanks for making my report public. I'm guessing the small update today did not address this issue - well when I tried to load a previously saved game the problem still persisted.
  8. Thank you, will give that a try pending the devs fixing the 16/01 glitch! Edit: Didn't work. I either got the same pop up box error message, or on the Lodz route it simply restarted the scenario.
  9. Yes I have submitted a bug report but it has yet to appear in the Bug Forum. The VD is loading oaky but once the train loads you get a pop up box with random error message on top of the pause menu, once you click it get thrown back to the main menu. Hopefully the guys will be back at work tomorrow and get it sorted but rather frustrating when we hoped it would be possible to really get going in SP mode.
  10. I can see why they do this but the delay in approval means the bug report is hidden from other players until it becomes visible. I posted yesterday re the 16/01 SP beta update now causing save games to fail to load displaying various error messages, but it has yet to appear publicly. I appreciate it's not 24/7 support and the guys have loads to do but at least having the details out there could elicit whether others have encountered the same issue.
  11. Still waiting for this to be published but in the meantime another test run has ended in a failed load. I had read elsewhere there might have been a workaround saving the game with the train stationary, but running a Regional service with the EN57 on the Lodz route generated this error. Also please note I was unable to save the game until at least 20 minutes into the run, with the "Processing Routes" error message. At this time further testing seems pointless until the SP beta gets another update or is rolled back to the pre 16/01 update which was not giving these errors.
  12. Since the 16/01 update... Two screen dumps uploaded. SR Load Error.jpg was trying to load a game saved yesterday evening in the previous version. SR Load Error 2.jpg was after starting then saving a fresh run on the Lodz route this evening in the latest beta. This has somewhat dampened my confidence in the save game system which seemed to be working okay before this update today.
  13. Running the SP beta, Steam currently downloading and installing (slowly) a 1.6Gb update. Any idea what this addresses as there are no change notes to accompany the download. It seems to be doing a lot of overwriting. Edit: It looks like todays update invalidated the save file or the environment it loads into. While the "VD" loaded correctly when the train cab spawned I got an error message and dumped back to the menu.

  14. Agree with Jason. We do not want Simrail to end up like TSW looking alternately washed out and bleached (as with their "TOD4") which over compensated for earlier versions where the track and ground always looked like it was covered by black tar or treacle!
  15. Running Scenario 423042 with the ET22. Loading the saved game some key functions no longer working - H/J for horn and NumPad 6 for Brake Drive Position. The horn can still be operated with the mouse and I have checked all the key bindings are correctly shown. I will add any further issues with key commands if they manifest. Update: Horn keyboard functionality returned after driving for about five minutes, but the NumPad 6 remains off line (NumPad 3 and 9 working okay). Update 2: After a further few minutes of driving NumPad 6 is now working. Update 3: Second time I loaded the saved scenario all keys worked immediately and I couldn't replicate the issue.
  16. Thanks guys. I am trying a different scenario now and seems to be working.
  17. Just a couple of quick questions for the devs... Have the original scenarios been updated to support save/load or is the functionality still limited to the newer routes? I started a run yesterday evening on the original route, but when I tried to save still got the error message, "Unable to save, due to compiling routes." Even though I have the beta version selected in Steam, how can I be sure I'm running it. Many thanks.
  18. For the long awaited single player and save game improvements in the new beta. Looking forward to trying them out. If everything works satisfactorily this will make Simrail the great train sim we always hoped it would be.
  19. I'd certainly like to see some diesel traction added to the game but I'm sure there are slightly more interesting prototypes than the Class 66, which has already been done to death in TSW! 🙂
  20. Running train 6128 on the Lodz route after saving three times, started getting the error message, "Cannot save right now, routes are being processed".
  21. Thank you kind sir, switching to beta version as I type this. Look forward to getting some testing done.
  22. Thanks Krolik. Do I need to enter the beta path on Steam to access as my latest version of the game is Build 30/05/25 1826?
  23. Sorry to respond in English (I have posted also in the English section) but I would like to do some testing on this. How does one go about accessing the beta, please? And in Polish: Przepraszam, że odpowiadam po angielsku (zamieściłem też post w sekcji angielskiej), ale chciałbym to przetestować. Jak uzyskać dostęp do wersji beta?
  24. I can't find it mentioned in Announcements, but I have seen posted elsewhere some small changes have been made to improve the Alpha Save Game feature and the developers are looking for players to try the feature out. As a very vocal proponent of improvements to the SP and save game I'm more than happy to do some testing. However, it would be useful if the developers could list all those single player scenarios which are now compatible with the save game or even better put some sort of symbol or icon next to them within the game menu.
