  1. The only thing about having private servers it would be for hosting custom routes/lines, I would honestly would like to know about this, how is custom content gonna work in multiplayer? We know very little (or nothing) about how this is going to work, and I think that it's about time to open this can of worms.
  2. Sure, you can add blinds to an aeroplane too if you want and open the windows in mid air as well. I bought Simrail as it looked realistic/professional, if you want other kind of stuff, you have other platforms. Or you can try to mod things when you get the tools, so you can even add a Christmas tree on your box if you want to. 🙂
  3. Thing is, does the real thing include blinds?
  4. Title says it all, custom tags so we could edit them writing down train number and the time of departure/destination, something similar to this:
      • 7
      • I disagree
      • I agree
  5. Yup, same situation here happening since the update, it doesn't happen always, doesn't matter which server also.
  6. It's on the desk panel, if you don't have the labels off, you should be able to find it hovering over.
  7. Sound coming from the Hasler tacho is missing/wasn't added.
  8. I think this is a standard thing nowadays, at least in Spain even if a train ends in a station but there's a pedestrian/level crossing, it will start functioning and it will open again once the train has stopped at the platform... Unless there's like a lot of distance from the stopping point to the crossing, that's that, but the again, at least or level crossings: 1st: The lights go off during some seconds. 2nd: The barriers start to go down. This has on it's right Paterna's station.
  9. This is madness. 😂 It's down for about 2 goddamn minutes too! 😅
  10. Is platform 5 the one that's alone sitting in the corner of Katowice? If it's the one I think I did saw pictures of DMU's there. Edited: Nvm, videos I saw are from 10 years ago. 😂 It seems Peron 5 is the last remaining thing of the old Katowice station... Which now I'm curious about, are there any good old photos from it? When was it refurbished?
  11. You've picked my interest about custom made content and public servers @Dignité, I hope we get some answers concerning this point.
  12. About the penalization system: - About setting routes that are not the "normal ones" I would honestly disregard this point entirely as depending on the situation, a path that's not the normal one would be needed in some occasions. - Same goes for removing an already set route when a train is close to the signal, I know of similar situations in real life. Be it a failure of the signal or the dispatcher trying to stop a train for a determined reason. - Maybe the dispatcher wants to put you on an alternative route for "X" reason, be it congestion, points not working, etc... - At least in Spain, you don't need to inform to the neighbour station if the B.A is working, unless it's a BT, or BTS then there's actually "no need" to inform. - Is the time written in the timetables updated into the system? I mean, do all people that are checking timetables at the official dispatcher system have the information updated? - Agreed about sanctioning someone for trolling. ------------------------------------------------------ - Again the dispatcher can set an alternative route for you for "X" reasons, but he/she should inform the driver on this matter (that's what I normally do). - Agreed on the other 2 points. ------------------------------------------------------ Night at stations is very darn close to reality TBH, I've been in several stations at night and you practically see nothing until the train is in the 1st lamppost, also notice that PKP didn't start refurbishing stations until not so long ago, apart from this, once again I agree. (I'm pretty sure someone can provide a photo of a Polish station at night here) About big panels, I would love for the panels (be it computer/relay/mechanic) to be able to have 'em in a window, with the possibility of scrolling it (be it with the middle mouse button or the arrow keys).
  13. Is this a joke? I hope it is.
  14. Now I'm curious about these boxes in real life, what do they have.
  15. I guess it's because the signal box is next to it @uetam?
  16. Fair point but as I said, it's going to be quite the challenge. As I said several times before I take Simrail as a serious simulator and not a game, for that we already have other "train simulators", I think that this simulator should (more or less) be at the level of Flight Simulator (in a future) in terms of gameplay/operation.
  17. In real life you need to know the infrastructure, station and what tracks have or have not a platform so yes, if you enter a track which you're suspicious/know that doesn't have a platform, you need to stop and await instructions... So answering your question maybe I wouldn't be able to stop before fully entering the train to a certain track, but again, the important thing is to stop as soon as you are aware of it. Same applies to tracks without platforms and in junctions: https://www.eltriangle.eu/es/2023/05/15/un-tren-de-ferrocarrils-de-la-generalitat-se-equivoca-de-via-y-envia-a-los-pasajeros-a-sabadell-cuando-querian-ir-a-terrassa/ In both cases if the driver fails to stop driver is at fault too. Maybe only happens that driver is at fault in Spanish regulations but not in the rest of countries? I'm curious about Australia, what kind of rules does a driver have to follow if he/she is being sent to a wrong track/direction?
  18. As a train driver you need to know where you're going, in case a train is sent into a track which is not the correct one and the driver fails to notice, both driver and dispatcher are at fault. I honestly don't know how you can "evaluate" a dispatcher in the sim as it's quite tricky.
  19. I personally welcome anyone to the Spanish server, but the least they could do is speak the language.
  20. As we would say in Spanish @Sean the Sheep, estás como una cabra. 😂 https://www.wordreference.com/es/en/translation.asp?spen=estar como una cabra
  21. Hmmm just in case... Are you using the shunts too @Sean the Sheep? (6 extra notches)
  22. Before having this long cue, the cars when taking this roundabout where also doing strange manoeuvres.
  23. This I was wondering the other night, if it could have any solution at all.
