Nathcraft Posted December 10, 2022 Share Posted December 10, 2022 Hello, I was wondering if there are any plans to find a way to increase the terrain render disance. The current one (2km) is fine for a very flat route as the one inculded, but it would make it impossible to create good looking hilly or mountain routes. I'm myself creating routes for DTG's Train Simulator (https://www.rwcentral.com/topic/409-v13-disponible-réseau-nord-lorrain/page/26/) and I see a huge potential in simrail, but this low terrain render distance issue seems to me like it could become a big limiting factor. Schyrsivochter Posted December 15, 2022 Share Posted December 15, 2022 I’m thinking the render distance should have a dynamic aspect to it, just as in Zusi: if FPS falls below a configurable value, then view distance should be gradually reduced up to a configurable limit until FPS is back above the threshold.
