Footz Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 @Gazz292 there is now a section in the forum https://forum.simrail.eu/forum/108-community-made-content/ for wel... community made content. Maybe you would be willing to repost your work there? Majority of users provide it in english as well. Thanks! 1 1
SuperNoob Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 @Gazz292Thank you for your work on this, it is much appreciated! 1
Sean the Sheep Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Thanks for this. An idea for something to add - the correct lights for driving on the normal line and driving on the left line. 2
DazT Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 @Gazz292 Not strictly signs, but would it be possible to add the meaning of various train headlight configurations, for example left line running, shunting (if Poland has such a specfic headlight arrangement) etc
DazT Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Note to self: Read the post above before posting about lights 🤣 2
Jonas16396 Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Maybe you could also include the German signals as an explanation, since the Dresden line is being built.

If the line is not here, why not start now? Better have it now and wait for the line then having the line and not have a cheat sheet. We don´t know when it will come. But that it will come. Maybe we could use the time to refine the cheat shhet till the line is rolling out and we have a smooth start. Edited April 23, 2023 by Friedjof
Gazz292 Posted April 24, 2023 Author Posted April 24, 2023 I really have to get on with updating the Polish signs and signals sheet (i got distracted messing about with drivers timetables to display on 6 inch e-ink devices for the past month or so) But i want to add the train headlight codes, add that a speed reduction triangle sign with no numbers in it means 20km/h and so on. For a version for the upcoming German route, i'm not sure what time period it will be set in, so which signals will be used on the line... as they changed a lot over the recent years with reunification and all that. But it's something to look into. 3
Gazz292 Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 i've just uploaded V2 of the guide, which now includes train headlight / tail light codes. 5

I’ve been meaning to file a bug report about that.
Gazz292 Posted April 29, 2023 Author Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) Ahh, didn't know that, In the 2013 onwards Ie-1 (Polish signalling instructions) it says: Quote 14. Signal D6 "Slow down" means that within the braking distance there is a section of the track on which it is necessary to drive at a speed lower than the speed provided for in the timetable, shielded by signal D6, and if this speed is not indicated on the dial, reduce speed to 20 km/h. So i presumed the blank D6 shields in SimRail were intentional (the above is machine translated from Polish, so does not read perfectly) Edited May 1, 2023 by Gazz292 Le-1 to Ie-1
SIMRAIL Team GoppelPL Posted May 1, 2023 SIMRAIL Team Posted May 1, 2023 The instruction's name is (capital "i")Ie-1, as in "exploatation instruction-1". The "2" hovering above blank D6/W9 signs is a bug indeed, please file a bug report on that @Schyrsivochter.
Gazz292 Posted May 1, 2023 Author Posted May 1, 2023 Do'h 😣 I've always mixed up capital I and lower case l on computers, thankyou for pointing this out.
J. Elkroc Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 @Gazz292 I am brand new to train simulation (flightsim convert). I really appreciate your work on this handy guide, it will help me so much. 2
Tipsytoo Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Thanks for the info- During the tutorial I noticed I often do not have a clue that I pass a point where I should have stopped & getting -1000 penalty points cause of it. I guess it's a "me problem" for not knowing the signs at all-extra pop-ups might be too much hand holding-Though maybe it wouldn't hurt for the tutorial only that the signs are explained more in detailed-zoomed into them when you approach them where the game goes on pause explaining the signs,... 1
Stewie Mazen Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) im confused .this guide doesnt help me at all. it misses most stuff. like this Edited February 13 by Stewie Mazen
MBGT Benjamin Posted February 14 Posted February 14 vor 34 Minuten schrieb Stewie Mazen: Hi, the signal from your screenshot is covered by this bit of the guide: The top of the signal shows green and the bottom yellow (without a green or yellow line). This means that you must drive 40 km/h (or slower) passing this signal and that you are allowed to accelerate to 100 km/h (if the green is flashing) or the vmax of your train (if the green isn't flashing). It is important that you are always only allowed to drive whatever is lowest (linespeed, signal speed or train vmax). You can find the vmax of your train by looking into the timetable. The circle with the lines in the middle of the graphic means that each case of the top can be combined with a case from the lower part of the signal. 1
Stewie Mazen Posted February 14 Posted February 14 ah 😄 thanks. and how do i know at which station i stop? and in this image, for how long would i go 40kmh?
SugaCane Posted February 14 Posted February 14 vor 4 Minuten schrieb Stewie Mazen: and in this image, for how long would i go 40kmh? Ich schreibe es mal hier auf Deutsch. Ist etwas einfacher. Beim Einfahrt oder Zwischensignal fährst du die Geschwindigkeit biss zum nächsten Signal und beim Ausfahrsignal, bis du aus dem Weichenbereich raus bisst. vor 5 Minuten schrieb Stewie Mazen: and how do i know at which station i stop? May 16 Posted May 16 Hi, what about signals with 4 "bulbs"? When entering Darota for example (signal M 1/2 in my case) was showing "green, off, yellow, off". Now first of all either the upper yellow or red is missing (I'd guess its the yellow one). When I now try to apply the guide to this signal it tells me "40 km/h restricted and expect vmax", but as soon I cleared the signal SimRail is telling me the next signal is red. Are those signals at a location where the next signal is so far away that the distant signal does not actually display the next signal and can only display "vmax" or nothing (when displaying S1) and this is the reason the yellow bulb appears to be missing?
Ensifer Posted May 16 Posted May 16 This signal will have 4 lights: green red orange (there's no "yellow") white In Dorota you only have one signal for each direction so there's no need to use 5 lights. The helper will show that next signal is red because it is - next station will clear it when you'll come closer.
sf_giants15 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 (edited) The next Signal has its own distant signal (Os), Thats why this signal doesnt need a extra orange bulb. Thats pretty much always like that when there arent any automatic signals between the stations. Edited May 16 by sf_giants15 1
