The "Feeling Dizzy" steam achievement is not tracking. Did several laps to the test track and the counter is stuck at 13/500 no matter how many laps I do.

The 13 laps were done months (maybe more than a year) ago. Couldn't make the game count any laps today.

Did many runs with different vehicles and different seasons/weather with the same result, but I will give detailed info about one of the runs below, just in case it helps.

Additional Info:

Played in "Vehicles Tests in Zmigrod" from the Tutorials section.

Vehicle: ED250 (Pendolino) -> #Pendolino/ED250-001 Variant

Season: Summer

Weather: Sunny

Time: Run the scenario without changing the time (default option).

Has this been solved?

You can check progress using dev menu, deafault keybinf is F8, look under the achievement tab.

Any news on this? Is it on the radar? There was an update pushed out yesterday but this is still not fixed.

Not looking for an obvious answer that provides no value.

For those that have pertinent information: Any news on this? Is it on the radar? Thank you

Same problem here ( stopped at 256 ).

As far as I'm concerned, the achievement stopped working when cd163 dlc was released, and since then hasn't been fixed

I tried doing this achievement before patch. It wasn't tracking. After updated was released I managed to get those laps and after closing the game and playing it again it stopped working.

According to the notes when releasing "Lodz north.." it was stated that this bug was fixed.

I now tried it both directly on that first "Lodz north" release. And just now on the latest release "SimRail Update - 21.08.2026

-> And the "Feeling dizzy" achievement is still not tracking my laps I do.  It still shows my old 15/500

This is my last attempt:

  • I did at least 14 laps in an EN96-001 loco (added logs for that session to this post)
    • and session before on "Lodz north patch" maybe 5-6 laps
  • For reference: I do not have all DLCs in my inventory (yet) -> maybe this is causing the bug?
  • Only did "driving errors" (like small speeding) on maybe two of those 14 laps.
  • On one lap I actually stopped on that small wooden station, on maybe lap 3-4
  • When time passed 09:00 I chose to stop again at that wooden station, and there end my session by going back to menu

So how I remember it "before this bug", it did not matter how many laps you did on the test track. Laps from all sessions were counted.

But now (because the Simrail said the bug is fixed) I am starting to get the feel I am doing something wrong.

Am I doing anything wrong?

I mean:  Of course this achievement could be about doing 500 laps in "one session"... but that would take over 33 hours even in a fast accelerating train... and haven't tried doing more than 15 laps in one session yet to prove that theory, so asking here.
