Cargo scenario from Łazy to Katowice, including shunting and full Ty2 support

My freight scenario is finally finished! I would like to thank everyone, who helpt me in the process of making it.

Build up your locomotive at the locomotive depot at Lazy LB. If necessary, couple up to your second locomotive. Let the signaller know you are ready for shunting. Then shunt to your train and hook it up too and report your readyness again. When it’s time, you can depart towards Katowice, where the scenario will end.

Locomotives
You have access to the full range, Ty2 steam locomotive, one or multiple EU07's or the retro ET22. Or pick an more modern Br186 or the dragon powerhouse.

When you drive the EU07 or ET22, it’s possible to tow an additional locomotive (EU07/EP07/EP08/ET22). Use the second loco to do your shunting and switch to the main locomotive after coupling to your train. To allow towing, you must activate the battery and cancel the dead man switch (activate cab, set reverser, cancel dead man, set reverser to neutral and deactivate the cab). After this, ensure all cabs are properly deactivated and town on the towed movement switch, so it’s in the 'Jazda ciagniona' setting, the icon in the HUD label should now glow up red. In the EU/EP07/-8 it is located on the back wall of the cabin 1, behind the driver’s seat. In the ET22, its in the electrical cabined near cab 1, the same as the battery switch.

Waggons
There are many waggon sets available. Please ensure yourself, that the locomotive(s) of your choice, are powerful enough to tow the train properly. The code does NOT check for this. Keep in mind, that you will encounter the hill beyond at Lazy LC, especially in slippery weather.

All sets of wagons have been checked for proper brake settings (G/P/R changeover valve) and weight limits etc. Some cargo sets will have empty passenger carriages. Unit cargo trains have vmax of 100 km/h, fast cargo and the complete carriages set have 120 km/h and heavy cargo trains will have 95 km/h. If you need the Cargo DLC, it is listed as such, see the table for all information:
1: Fast cargo, 328 tons, 219 meters, P brake.
2: Unit Cargo, 520 tons, 158 meters, P brake.
3: Unit Cargo, 700 tons, 214 meters, P brake, cargo DLC.
4: Unit Cargo, 894 tons, 273 meters, GP brake.
5: Unit Cargo, 1191 tons, 257 meters, GP brake, cargo DLC.
6: Fast Cargo, 1032 tons, 234 meters, GP brake, cargo DLC.
7: Unit Cargo, 1454 tons, 400 meters, LL brake.
8: Unit Cargo, 1875 tons, 613 meters, LL brake.
9: Unit Cargo, 2232 tons, 457 meters, LL brake, cargo DLC.
10: Heavy unit cargo, 2049 tons, 588 meters, G brake.
11: Heavy unit cargo, 2582 tons, 601 meters, G brake, cargo DLC.
12: Heavy unit cargo, 3282 tons, 747 meters, G brake, cargo DLC (not recommended unless you are a hardcore heavy trains fan).
13: Empty passenger carriages, 449 tons, 246 meters, R brake.

Weather and scenery and bot/AI trians
You have the option between sunny, cold (snow), cloudy and a little rain, raining or even a thunderstorm to choose from.

It is not possible to change the date or time. This is so, since in the way I set up the LUA scenario, the date and time is hardcoded.

An detailed recreation of the multiplayer timetable of summer/fall of 2024 has been provided. Decorated with even more trains and shunting movements.

Please have patience with the Pendolino 1429.

Credits
Making this scenario would have been completely impossible for me, without all the help I received from both the SimRail developers’ team and members of the community. I would like to thank them very much!

Special thanks to:
Królik Uszasty, Moooritz and Lewnemejski for answering many of my questions about LUA programming.
Eridor has helped my much and has made some great LUA libraries, which we can freely use in SimRail. Also, his awesome code for spawning random trainsets does not get nearly the appreciation as it should be getting. The possibilities and all the subtitle details he has thought of, are amazing. I encourage everyone interested in making LUA scenario’s to take a look!
Shiralyn has coded a Python script, so I could have access to the 2024 timetable and train composition data to this day. Without it, I would have been unable to recreate the multiplayer timetable.

Installation
The easiest way to install it, is to subscribe to the Steam Workshop mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3628486286

If you did not use the Steam Workshop for SimRail yet, see additional instructions here, since it is not a fully released futurte of the game yet:

Or download the scenery file manuall and unzip it in your 'SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SimRail\SimRail_Data\StreamingAssets\Sceneries' folder

Have fun! I hope to recieve much feedback from you, so I can improve this and future scenario's.

Zatrzymałem się pod semaforem. Podczepiłem wagony w Ła do lokomotywy i ruszyłem do Łaz. I w  Łazach koniec trasy.

I stopped at the signal. I coupled the wagons to the locomotive in Łazy and headed for Łazy. And in Łazy, the route ended.

I have no clue what happened. That train on your right should really not be their.

Okay. I tried playing again. First, Dragon. I got stuck in Łazy. Then two attempts with the forum version failed. I chose EU07 Cargounit. I had problems connecting the wagons in Łazy. The scenario froze. Then another attempt with the Steam scenario. Also EU07 Cargounit. And it's fine. I reached Sosnowiec. I paused the game there. The scenario works 🙂 Very cool AI movement. Lots of cargo options to choose from. Very cool scenario. As for the problems I had, I don't know if it was my computer's fault or that I was traveling late once and the AI movement might have froze.

Ok. Spróbowałem zagrać ponownie. Najpierw Dragon. Utknąłem w Łazach. Potem dwie próby wersja z forum nieudane. Wybrałem EU07 Cargounit.  Problemy przed podpięciem wagonów w Ła. Zawieszał się scenariusz. Później kolejna próba z steam scenariusz. Również EU07 Cargounit. I jest dobrze. Dojechałem do Sosnowca. Tam przerwałem grę. Scenariusz działa:)  Bardzo fajny ruch AI. Dużo wersji ładunku do wyboru. Bardzo fajny scenariusz.  A problemy jakie miałem to nie wiem czy to nie wina komputera mojego, albo tego że jechałem opóźniony raz i mógł ruch AI zawiesić się.

Hello, this is a very good scenario, I still can't connect two ET22s correctly and I'm not a complete beginner. Do I understand correctly that the "Drive ciagnion" button must be turned on only in the leading locomotive? I still can't see the traction current of the second locomotive, any instructions for the llamas? thanks

I tried playing the scenario after downloading from the forum and when using the two modern EU07 was never ablet to get the second unit to apply power. Using the passive switch on the trailing locomotive in the on or off position did not matter. I then tried using the version of the scenario from Steam and was able to get the second unit to apply power but only if I did not switch the passive switch on in the trailing locomotive. Not sure if the passive switch is functioning correctly? I got stuck at a red signal (S: katowice_lazy_terrain_x-14_z2, P: (-6864.63, 265.51, 1490.47), R: (10.01, 263.58, 359.03)) and was unable to complete the scenario.

When I tried running the scenario using the ET26 (Heavy unit cargo, 3282 tons, 747 meters, G brake, cargo DLC) once I connected to the cars, I was held up at a stop signal before LB and never given permission to proceed. The dispatcher gave message saying he could not allow trains to proceed early.

ET22 cant run in multiple so you will never see current in the second unit. "Jazda ciągniona" turned on in the second unit is necessary to avoid problems with the brakes as far as I know and it means that this locomotive will be pulled.

As Lewnemejski stated, tou should activate the towed operation switch, Jazda ciągniona, only an a loco that is towed by another obe. So leadind loco must not use Jazda ciągniona. With multiple unit operation, never use Jazda ciągniona, since the second multiple unit loco is an activ traction vehicle. It will recieve all commands from the first loco. Do not forget to activate battery, cancel dead man brake intervention and turn off cabin before activating Jazda ciągniona.

The Lazy LB signaller should let the train proceed just before scheduled time, without the player calling. I get the impression, you where hold way longer than that?

Forum and steam workshop version should be the same, unless I made a mistake somewhere or something weird has happened during upload.

So I finally connected the two EU 07s properly, the traction current works on both units, but I got stuck right at the red light 😞

You mean you where hold at the signal at danger, on the track where you coupeled up to the train? Did you call the signaller? You should call the signaller afther the proper train schedule, from Lazy LA to Katowice, is visable in the HUD.

I connected the wagons, reported, got a green signal, then I went to the next one, there was a red signal, the dispatcher said he couldn't let me go yet, so I waited until the departure time and it was still red despite calling the dispatcher and waiting at the station.

Yes….i stopped for 10+ minutes at the red signal and never received permission to proceed.

Regarding the EU-07’s, I was able to run the scenario using the Steam Workshop version and not enabling the passive switch on the trailing locomotive.  I could see the amps and had plenty of power for a heavy haul cargo train. The scenario ran fine with nice scenery, speeds, track changes and lightening effects. I only had a problem toward the end of the scenery when I wa stopped by a red signal and unable to proceed even when a request was made to the dispatcher.
