  1. For the purpose of this thread, its a suggestion to add an official tool whether its in-game systems or out of game reference sheet. I'm suggesting something be provided for people to easily reference for the speeds of crossovers, turnouts, and tracks in the stations to more efficiently route the trains. The idea of a player who really wants to dispatch but has to scour the forums or try to find track diagrams of the IRL stations on other websites to find out what the speeds are is not ideal. And saying they should drive the routes is not a good answer that some people have had. I work on trains IRL and don't care to come home to drive simulated trains but for the purpose of this game, I prefer to mainly do the dispatching part as it is more fun to me. Linked below is a community made speed map guide that I know I will reference but apparently the data was found based on IRL data instead of all game data. Definitive info from the devs would be best.
  2. The derailer is in fact there and operational.
  3. I have the PC version. The problem is that I don't know what the speeds of the crossovers and tracks. Hence the purpose of this thread
  4. I feel like a nice addition for the dispatchers and even for the drivers is either an in-game or external track diagram of sorts that shows the various tracks speeds and the speeds of the crossovers and turnouts in stations. Would especially help dispatchers on the larger stations or any stations that have crossovers and turnouts with different speeds to more efficiently move trains. Attached is an image someone posted from a bug report where the crossovers at the new dispatcher station Grodzisk Mazowiecki are labelled with their speeds. Ideas to implement this in game could be an overlay for the computer dispatch stations like the attached image that can be turned on/off and a physical map on the wall in the relay stations. Or could add it as a tab in the new EDR system that you can reference for the speed through the station you are on.
  5. Unless there is traffic behind a freight, I always ask if the driver wants to hold or continue. IRL if we can send a train, we send it without worrying about the trains being early. The trains being early allows for needed or unexpected delays to the train later and may prevent it from falling behind the scheduled times later and prevent delay reports and other consequences from happening. I look at the freight "layover" times as the acceptable delay if needed. Especially from Bedzin to Katowice, there really is no need to hold a freight already going max authorized speed as the track speed doesn't allow for real high speed anyway for the passengers. Especially for the lite power moves. People seem to not understand what "LTE" means. Only once have I made it through Glowny without being put in the siding. Lite power has the same authorized speed to Katowice as the passenger service and has way faster acceleration and braking than any of the passenger trains. Yet every time, even with talking to Glowny before leaving Bedzin, people refuse to let lite power pass, put me in the siding, then wait for a passenger train with a 3 min layover to arrive and depart. Note: The amount of time early box stays green and doesn't turn red if you are "too early" 🙂
  6. I need to steal this too for my stream deck 🙂
  7. Agree completely. Even though I wasn't a dispatcher, I still have access to the read-only version of the dispatcher screens to see anything around my yard when I was a yardmaster. The screens are at the top of this image from my desk. The screens covered generally around 70 miles of territory
  8. Yeah I didn't think of trying the bot until I was already a second away. Not going to lie, because of how unexpected it was, it did make me feel like how it does in real life the few times I've had a signal dump to red right in front of my train. Its not a good feeling
  9. Can't wait to see more of the larger stations to control!
  10. If we could have some way of not penalizing drivers for player dispatcher errors would be great. I was driving a freight coming up to Bedzin when the player in control of the station took away my signal without warning. I was traveling at vmax with the signal only 200 meters in front of me. So no matter what I could have tried, I couldn't stop in time and ran the stop signal, train was reset, and I was punished with a 500 point penalty. The player didn't respond for a while when I was asking what happened and eventually said they hit the wrong button. If we could have a way where if players are in control of a station and take down the signal, it could simply not apply the penalty to that signal or even let a player actually run the stop in that situation (which could cause an automatic emergency brake application like many modern safety systems do)
  11. Interlocking was set from Idzikowice to Strzalki for left hand running in the proper sequence. Train was given the proper signal into the section between stations but none of the signals woke up so the train had to travel the entire distance at 13mph/20kmh. Attached are images of the signals from the front and rear views of the train. Server was EN3 on Feb 22nd SimRail_log_2023-02-22_15-13-37.txt
