  1. It is available, S for settings and yes to flipped.
  2. There are some, but realistically, route editor is our best bet 😉
  3. 2024-01-21 22-07-17.mp4 Traxx, while walking outside you can hear the sounds that should be inside cab. (reverser in neutral in this case)
  4. If done the above. on my previous card these made some impact: Shadows settings (turn off extended tick box) reduce vegetation to 75-80% If you show us your current settings its easier to suggest changes.
  5. That would be great. then we can also use devices like streamdeck to call the next dispatcher.
  6. Both sides up and running, enjoying some test drives and trying to drive hudless.
  7. I'm not sure, but I feel the throttle on the traxx is also more fiddly to change positions also(from throttle to 0 to braking. I'll test some more when the box is complete. Here is what simrail reads the buttons: button 2 stand up/sit down button 3 acknownledge/deadman button 4 panto up button 5/6 zoom in and out button 10 is menu. It's not joytokey ruining it, as no keyboard keys are sent when pushing buttons, so seems to me its something in simrail. Tested in the "other" sim and I have similar issues there, so I think the sim engine mistakes my generic usb joystick for a xbox/ps controller? So my request to simrail team is a possibility to disable game controller. EDIT: My issues was releated to Steam settings. Steam was set to emulate xbox controller, turned it off and voila, my device behaved as intended! It only became a problem once simrail added game controller support 🙂
  8. Currently in the process of making some controls inspired by the traxx. I'm making 2 modules for now, one for the left hand (throttle) and one right hand(brakeside). I'm trying to limit my functions to 1 usb joystick card per side. (using 12 buttons and an arcade joystick ) Been using joytokey to give key commands, and worked flawless before(before the last big update). When I use it now, it gives commands I don't have control over, can it be the gamepad support messing it up? is there a way to deactivate gamepad? Waiting on the case to get done printing and continue design of the right hand side if it works out as intended. Also have bigger module in progress, with housing for saitek throttles with notchplates etc, but on hold until native joystick support is here.
  9. If I'm not remembering wrong, I think also they don't have uniform size. Its physically larger in some trains (traxx) and smaller in en57.
  10. Or option to jump straight back to train selection for the server you was driving on after the trip summary.
  11. I hope this action will be possible to toggle in settings. I loved looking around with middle mouse in external view. With the quickfix today, I am very happy with the update. EN57 is a very fun ride. Colors seems more vibrant in ultra lightning and sounds seems to have gotten an overhaul with less glitching sound like the horns. The value of simrail basegame is just getting better and better. 1 year ago I would never have thought that I would enjoy driving in virtual Poland so much. Hopefully SDK/route editor will come, so we can expand the world of rails and traction outside Poland as well. Is it just a placebo effect of the new vegetation or have scenery clutter been updated in some locations?
  12. EN57, you can lean out the driver window when open and move angle around.
  13. I found success with reverser in neutral position and the "unlock traction overload relay"
  14. What is the "realistic" amount of calls made on the radio? As a driver I just tend to respond to what ever calls I get or when stopped at signal without call from dispatcher. As dispatcher I keep it minimal, like change of platform/overtaking etc. I find the constant "request clearence thru your station" a bit over the top, but if its realistic for polish ops...
  15. Seem to recal somebody mention train heating in the EP07. Not testet yet when off. Tried it when lights were on, but that didn't turn them off.
  16. Most of the time I know what train I want to load by using one of the maps available. It would be helpfull to be able to search for the train in the list, the same way we can search for servers. If it has been asked before - sorry!

      • I agree
  17. Lovely, I like the simplicity. Added to favorites 🙂 To get the train weights right I guess you would have to seperate them in to traction type. Example: 464036 E6ACTa and 40 412W wagons totals around 580m/3320t. (500m/2500t on your list) 464038 Traxx/E186-134 and 32 412W wagons totals around 470m/2650t (500m/2500t on list) Does the api reports the empty consist weight or only loads? What we did on https://www.simrail.virtualnorwegian.net/ was to have a table on the page with empty wagon weights and then add the cargo weight from api. But that requires updating with new waggons down the road and work against the "low maintance" model. Either way, I like your page!
  18. Question regarding custom servers is triggered when reading signal boxes. I have early plans for a route(and possible extensions) but is there plans for allowing us to make servers for our 3rd party routes? Either through simkol/simrail servers or our own? Only way we could use the custom signal boxes today would be if we could make servers for the routes. Or is singleplayer signal boxes planned as well?
  19. My experience is also that SR runs heavy during sunset. I think it is due to lightning/shadow. My 2080 super usually reach around 80-85 C mark when running SR, frames staying in the ballpark 35-50 running 4k and fairly high settings. sky medium, vegitation 75% and extended vegitation shadows off(the real frame hog here during evening on my setup. My low fps disapeared with that setting) Check out vegitation settings if that will help out on the situation. Specially shadow settings. I also had an jetengine(gpu fan) when running Simrail, but I adjusted the fan curve of GPU slightly less agressive and case fans slightly up to increase the general flow of the air in tower. How is your airflow in the pc? Most gpu now don't extract the heated air, but will remain inside the pc for casefans to extract. Have not felt any degradation in fps due to GPU throttling down yet. And also, if long time since pc cleaning, do some vacuming around air intakes/fan filters/cooling fins etc.
  20. Rotate spotview away from loco I found out by accident all though in the key binds... (in view 2, click&hold middle mouse key/wheel and drag mouse)
  21. i have seen pigs aswell, but might have been my reflection in the EP08 mirror
  22. I can't find the clip again, but I have seen video from trackside when ever an axle passed over the ties it would dip into the ballast a bit. I can understand this dipp to be less as you would pass a switch as the ties are wider under the switch and resulting in a jump because of more footprint to spread the load. It would not sink in so much. And then on modern high speed rails, there would be no sway or hilly switch. I think the clip i saw was from an old heritage line or something were track would be in a poor quality compared to modern standards. Hopefully the effect can be adjusted by route designers or something down the line 🙂
  23. Logi G27 dusting down here aswell, would be fun to use it in SR. A little sidetrack/derailment for more ways wheels can operate(sorry 🙂 ): In Norway we have loco (EL14)with wheel and notches, but is operated in similar manner to the traxx lever: Brake on left half. 0 top center and throttle on right half with positions: Brake UP | Maintain brake | Brake DOWN | 0 | Throttle DOWN | Maintain throttle | Throttle UP The loco has 32 notches thottle and 21 braking. For going forward; Move wheel to throttle maintain. To notch up hold it in Throttle UP and it will notch up every 0,3 seconds. When happy keep wheel in Thottle maintain. Uncertain if its springloaded back to maintain or if its sticks to UP/DOWN. Would suspect it to be spring loaded. To brake(dynamic): Move wheel over to "BRAKE MAINTAIN" then add brake notches holding it in Brake UP. To reduce notch, hold it in "BRAKE DOWN" We also have a EMU "Type 69 / BM69": Where in automatic mode: you would have a notch for every 10 km/h up to 130km/h. Acceleration/braking in a standard rate. Possible to reduce the traction/brake force if slippery. Similar to the ELF cruisecontrol operation. Another usecase would be mounting the wheel vertical and adding a lever of some sort and use it as a brakelever. 😄 I'll certainly monitor this aspect of the sim, like your buttonbox. Very cool. I have made myself a stand for my old saitek levers, but would love to expand on it later on. I think I would make it universal though as I like variation 🙂
  24. I'll add some veggies in the catogory nitpicking: Grass on road at bridgeoverpass Psary, both ends. Road 795. Enjoyed the view from the bridge during a red light stop. And parkinglot at Biedronka shop Oswobodzenia 66 (Between Janów and Stawiska marker 31,2) 😄
