Change of cab on ET22

Recommended Posts

In the ET22 [Cargo] Coal Mine operations scenario, after having managed to reach Katowice Muchowiec Staszic (quite an adventure, believe me) and after uncoupling the locomotive, I have to change cabins and head to a free track on the other side of the station.
What exactly do I need to do in cab A before switching to cab B?
Once in cab B, what do I have to do to get the locomotive going again?
Can you tell me the correct procedure?
Thank you for your time.

You need to switch off: compressor, converter, brake with main pneumatical brake (it may be with full service or emergency brake), then set brake lever to cut-off/disabled position, set sanding switch off, open main switch, pantographs down and "lower both pantographs" switch downwards, radio manipulator off, direction to neutral, deactivate cabin, set radio to the second cabin (from A to B at upper part of back wall of the cabin A), then you go to the second cabin and switch everything on: activate cabin, driving direction to front, acknowledge SHP, "lower both pantographs upwards" and pantograph up, close main switch, converter, compressor, sanding switch on, fill brake pipe with setting brake lever to the riding position (use releaser if necessary to fill brake pipe when pressure was below 3,4 bar), switch radio on.

And avoid switching shutters in engine room's ceiling as it disables possibility to drive. And do not use local brake as this locomotive has two independent local brake valves scripted, so you need both of them in the driving position (0%).

I follow all your instructions step by step but I can't get the rear pantograph to go up in cabin B (nor the front one). Should I do anything in the engine room?

Thank you for your patience.

Please check if the game has not dome something odd with the reverser handle in the unused cabin, I havd had som weird behavior when walking trough it, where the reverser/direction lever got set up in the deactivated cabin.

Problem solved: In cabin A you have to lower the pantograph and also the lever "Lower both pantographs". In cabin B, in addition to raising the rear pantograph, you must make sure that the lever "Lower both pantographs" is offset upwards, as in the image attached. Now current is captured from the catenary and the circuit breaker can be closed, the converter and the compressor can be activated. I propose to Królik Uszasty to edit his very illustrative message so that it is a reference for later queries from other users.   Thank you all for your help

Yes, I did.

I just made a small shortcut with "pantographs down" and "pantographs up" as I was writing without checking the cabin... and I'm sure I always switch "lower both pantographs" as it is near individual pantographs switches, but for someone new it is not obvious.
