DazT
As per the description. The old Pendolino brake handle was bad enough, it's even worse now where from running position to actually to get it into an apply state requires a heavy double tap which either then puts into 25% brake or full on 100% anchor out of the window brake with cups flying across the buffet car! weezzah
Only having to do short keypresses to move the lever between positions would make it way easier imo. Then you'd roughly know where the lever is based on the number of presses made. Wouldn't have to look at the lever as much either, just stick with monitoring the gauges and verify the changes. However, does the real deal have fixed positions or does it have fine control too? I've noticed the lever in SimRail can end up in between positions, although not very gracefully so I've stuck with trying to get it into a position for the most part. Angelo
Yes, the ED250 brake handle has fine control, at least in the pneumatic braking sector.
Glendathu
Same here, the problem is that you can't say I press the brake+ key 1 or2 times, and it switches from Cutoff to Fill or from Fill to Drive. It also depends how long you press. So you always have to look on the brake lever when using it to see if it has moved to the next position or not. But my train Instructor always told me to watch the route and the instruments, especially when approaching a signal where I maybe have to stop. 🙄 Additionaly there's no feedback in the form of a certain click-sound between the lever positions. It feels like a brake lever of an old '50s Locomotive inside a Hightec train. But nevertheless, I love this locomotive!!
meki98
Yea had the same problem with the ne76 already thought I was crazy And got a 5 min delay on just the "very Easy " tutorial Mission Meanwhile I got like 4 min ahead of schedule in the traxx with the coal load which is supposed to be hard And there is also a significant delay between brakes off and getting power again is that really supposed to be that way? Fightdrug
vor 30 Minuten schrieb meki98: I do that a few times until the power eventually comes back mostly in the traxx the brakes show released in the hud while it isnt so you can see that in the traxx on the far right brake needle it goes slowly back to 0 when it reach the 0 you can give power again before that the train brakes are not complete empty, here is a photo from the needle i mean

The needle moves when you apply the loco break or the train comes to a stand still. For example holding in front of a Red Signal
