Hello, at 19:45 server time on EN1, CrankyAnt sent me to Sedziszow instead of Sprowa using a Sz signal, and he was allowed to.

Train: TME 344136

EDIT: I have been kicked at 20:03 server time. Not sure if automatically.

Sz is not checked by the system like train routes are. The dispatcher is responsible for the correct giving of the substitute signal.

Not knowing this exact situation or dispatcher experience, but generally speaking: sending someone the wrong way, may be by error/lack of knownledge and not intent as in trolling etc. Educate not ban (banning/reporting seems to be many users default response to errors/newbies.)

If users are experienced and discovers their mistake or get a hint, they will usually apologies and try to fix it if possible.

To be honest I'd expect nothing less from some players in multiplayer who seem to use Sz like it's going out of fashion. If you use Sz without a legitimate reason (ie, a fault or a failure or where signalling regulations require and allow for it) then I consider those that use it outside those reasons I've just given, then I think you're a (think of a not very nice descriptive word and insert here).

The last time I used Sz was well over 2 maybe 3 months ago through no fault of my own, some people are using it as an ordinary signal, which is not what it's designed for, like yesterday where a player on Kozlow was Sz'ing to Sprowa, train after train just because they can. If PKP wanted you to have multiple trains in section between Kozlow and Sprowa then they'd of installed signals accordingly to allow for that. All because people are just too lazy to wait for literally for a few more minutes for an occupied block to clear rather than just signalling, you know, properly. If a train has to stand, let it stand, not every train is going to get a good run all the time, just like on the real railway, delays happen.

I mean I get it (partly), people want to keep things moving, but to me I can see the inherent danger of using Sz if you get it wrong as that seems common sense to me, but I guess I have the unfair advantage of being a real signaller, so safety is sort of ingrained into me. I bet no one who uses it is locking up all the points on the panel correctly like you're meant to, again that's second nature to me.

I think there does need to be something in the manual, some hard and fast rules on its use. And I guess that's the bit that bugs me more than anything, Sz into an already occupied section, which generally in signalling is a big, no-no. One train, One Section, One Line, One time - that's the first thing you're taught at signalling school.

I wonder, did the dispatcher provide both reason and warning to the driver of the train send to occupied tracks between between Kozlow and Sprowa? Not that it should be done, driving on sight for such a distance is nog workable at all.
