Fibou
It would not be bad to include the function to contact the dispatcher at any other station by mobile phone. By phone call ot send a message.
Gazz292
If they do that in real life, then i could be added, The communications options we have in SimRail are realistic for the time period (2018) hence no GSM radio... it's all analogue, and the land line phones between dispatch stations.
Schyrsivochter
Mind you, it’s not that landlines can’t also be used to call more signal boxes than just adjacent ones …
Fibou
That would also be an option.
Jamiek540
It would definitely be a worth while ability to call other stations via the landline phone in the office seeing as there's already the ability to type in numbers, it would come in especially handy atm between Lazy LC & Lazy LA as Lazy itself is unplayable. DazT
Most, if not all railway systems have an internal telephone system, so I'm surprised that the dial pad on the box phone can't be used to ring other signal boxes that aren't your immediate box next door. Sometimes you do need to ring a box a few boxes ahead to see if they can take an early train. (I do it at lot at work when I need to speak to Stafford, which isn't our immediate neighbour) Edited December 12, 2023 by DazT
