Glendathu Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I understand that /ph/ is some kind of stop ? And what does DZA mean ? Thanks for our help!
sf_giants15 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 ph = passenger stop pt = technical stop ( mostly for overtaking) DZA: do you mean Like Zabkowice DZA? this is a sub station of the main Zabkowice station. I think in real life there is a second dispatcher. But in Simrail both stations are controlled by just one dispatcher just like in sosnowiec glowny 1

In real life, Dabrowa Gornicza Zabkowice is controlled by two signalboxes: DZA, only for the switches towards Łazy, and DZB, for everything else. By the way, in SimRail, if you enter DZB and look at the frame, on your right you can see a green part of the panel which IRL doesn't exist since it's located in DZA. I suppose it's a temporary solution, just like every other green tile in the simulator (did you notice those green tiles on tracks 4 and 6 in Bedzin? They too are different from the reality and are probably just placeholders in the sim). I'll add that, whilst you should never skip a ph stop unless specifically instructed to do so, you're free to skip any pt stop if the signals are clear. Edited November 27, 2023 by Angelo 1
BigVern Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) The one thing puzzling me after the update is what appears to be the little telephone icon next to some (but not all) of the ph station stops. I'm guessing this has something to do with keeping the departure signal at red until ready, but during the little bit of driving I've done so far, whether AI or player despatched the signal has always been cleared without asking. Angelo Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Do you mean the one followed by, e.g., R2 or R4 or other numbers? That's the radio channel, that you have to set on your radio set. When you go to a route where a different channel is used, you'll also find a black, round sign with the radio channel written in yellow. 1
