Newby Questions

Just started with simrail couple of questions regarding driving the ED250

1   When approacjing station or just in transit I,m unsure how to brake , and I found after I have used numpad 1 to brake/ stop at station I,m unable to start again

2.   Vmax confuses me, what does it mean

any help much appreciated or a lonk to any manuals would help

  2. Vmax is the maximum speed of the train. It is displayed in the HUD in the lower right corner of the screen, so you know what your maximum speed is on the station section / route. Vmax above the semaphore in the HUD (top, right corner of the screen) means that the semaphore does not introduce any speed limits, the one displayed at the bottom of the screen applies. The semaphore introduces speed limits depending on the set route. If it shows Vmax, it means that you are going straight through all the junctions in the station.

1. Don't use Num 1 to brake 🙂. Instead use Num 9/6/3 for the Brakes. Num 1 is the emergency Brake. You need to press again Num 1 to release your Brake and fill them with Air.
