bprog Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 (edited) Hello there. I've made a cheat sheet for myself for Grodzisk Mazowiecki, to know what speed do different switches allow. A fella known as @Valkyrien suggested making them for every station and publishing it here, as it may help some people. I'm not a proffesional illustrator, but I think it's readable enough. Katowice Zawodzie - all switches are 40km/h only Katowice - all switches are 40km/h only Sosnowiec Główny - all switches are 40km/h only Sosnowiec Południowy - all switches are 40km/h only Będzin - all switches are 40km/h only Dąbrowa Górnicza - all switches are 40km/h only Dąbrowa Górnicza Wschodnia - all switches are 40km/h only Idzikowice - all switches are 40km/h only Dorota - all switches are 40km/h only Juliusz - all switches are 40km/h only Zawiercie - the hi-speed switches are marked on a panel by having an easier angle (see picture below). There are two 100km/h switches on Zawiercie. Góra Włodowska: Psary: Knapówka: Włoszczowa Północ: Olszamowice: Pilichowice: Opoczno Południe: Grodzisk Mazowiecki: [Caution! Currently there is a bug, that interprets 130km/h switches as 100km/h instead!] Korytów: Łazy Łc: (behold, a whole ONE switch! Or rather two, interconnected with each other) Szeligi: Strzałki: Biała Rawska: When the speed isn't specified, it defaults to 40km/h max speed, as is the standard on Polish railways. EDIT: 22/03/2023 - Opoczno Południe has been updated to correctly indicate all switches being 60km/h 07/04/2023 - Added new stations: Korytów (with schema) and Dorota (all 40km/h). Opoczno Południe has been updated again, to correctly indicate 100km/h switches. Added Łazy Łc (thanks to some insider info by @uetam😉) 18/04/2023 - Added new stations: Szeligi (with schema) and Juliusz (all 40km/h). 17/05/2023 - Added new stations: Strzałki (with schema), Biała Rawska (with schema) and Katowice (all 40km/h). sf_giants15 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 130 kph switch? How does the signal look like if you have to go over that switch?
ErsGT Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 The signal shows a lighted "13" below the color optics: https://semaforek.kolej.org.pl/wiki/index.php?title=Grodzisk_Mazowiecki#/media/Plik:Grodzisk_Mazowiecki104.JPG 2
Schyrsivochter Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Hmmm. Is Grodzisk Mazowiecki correct for SimRail? I just drove a 16xxx over 58, 60, 62, 65, and I could not see that ‘13’ on M1. (Then again, I didn’t check the HUD, so I might’ve simply missed it.) 1
ErsGT Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Yes, in the direction that you'd described the speed limit is definitely 100 km/h.
ErsGT Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) But, im not sure if it is right, cause the signal has an additional board. It was dark. The pic shows the rote from M1 via the points 58,60,62 and 65. Edited March 13, 2023 by ErsGT
Gazz292 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Where is the data for the 'switch / points' speeds coming from? if it's a real track railway site, then remember that is likely based on the situation today... 2023, and SimRail is based on how it was in 2018, so things may have changed, what is now a high speed set of points may have been a much slower set 5 years ago.
Schyrsivochter Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 There’s a track plan on Semaforek (see the page linked above by ErsGT) dated 2015, which has the 130 km/h points. 2
bprog Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) Hi all! Thanks for the feedback! Yes, it has been brought to my attention that these switches are actually interpreted as 100km/h switches in SimRail. However, they were installed in 2015 as part of modernisation efforts. It is a bug in SimRail, and I'll try to sort things out with the creators. Should 100km/h remain - I will update the schema. Cheers! Quick EDIT: uetam just confirmed to me that he is aware of thisbug, and it should be patched in the future. Edited March 13, 2023 by bprog 3
ErsGT Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 All right! @Schyrsivochter and I had tested some routes: M1-P3 route and M2-P3 route shows 100 km/h instead of 130 km/h.
Masterczulki Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 (edited) @bprog Thank you, great work! Edited August 16, 2023 by Masterczulki
