Errors Loading Saved Game

Since the 16/01 update...

Two screen dumps uploaded.

SR Load Error.jpg was trying to load a game saved yesterday evening in the previous version.

SR Load Error 2.jpg was after starting then saving a fresh run on the Lodz route this evening in the latest beta.

This has somewhat dampened my confidence in the save game system which seemed to be working okay before this update today.

Still waiting for this to be published but in the meantime another test run has ended in a failed load. I had read elsewhere there might have been a workaround saving the game with the train stationary, but running a Regional service with the EN57 on the Lodz route generated this error.

 

 

Also please note I was unable to save the game until at least 20 minutes into the run, with the "Processing Routes" error message.

At this time further testing seems pointless until the SP beta gets another update or is rolled back to the pre 16/01 update which was not giving these errors.

Thanks for making my report public.

I'm guessing the small update today did not address this issue - well when I tried to load a previously saved game the problem still persisted.

I am having the same issue with savefiles, on different scenarios. Some of them did work to load, but most of them are with error. Hopefully it will help to fix it for the final release.

It's a pity they can't just roll back to the pre 16/01 SP beta version, while trying to identify what has gone wrong. Otherwise it negates the whole point of having the beta version for us to test in the first place, if it's not updated or fixed in a timely manner. I know they are probably juggling this with sorting out initial issues with the Xbox version and finalising the CD 163 for next week but it would be good if the matter got some priority.

On the main build now as it has been updated and the save/load game seems to work though when i re loaded into a save with the EN57 at Katowice the guard said train ready to depart about 2 mins early and the train was tripped.

That's interesting then. I've just switched back to the main and will test it later on (wife about to kick me off the PC!).

Another update on saves-

 

game saves are still in beta stage. It will be possible to load saves from the game's main menu after the servers update at midnight CET.

Hopefully that means if we save a run this evening, can resume tomorrow. Not sure why a SP save wouldn’t be stored locally though.

Sorry to update/report, still getting this error message playing the main game latest version. The VD loads but the train fails with the Unable to load route or similar message. So it looks as if the save game is still broken in that respect.
