I have a system above the recommended requirements one and yet the performance is all over the place. All the graphical settings are a bit too much complicated and the preset settings do not do a good job either. So is there some guide to graphical settings, or we need much higher system than recommended one?

Surely choosing one of the presets at the top for 'custom, ultra, high, medium, low' etc will set them all up for you, have you tried each one in turn?

i'm using a gaming laptop and have everything on ultra or as high as they will go, and all i get are some pauses every now and then, which i have found out the severity of them depends on the server i am on,

some servers i get judders when changing cameras and trying to move the camera around, other servers everything is smoooooooth.

I have a 3070 / 16 GB RAM / i7-10700 2.90GHz and I played on ultra with mixed results (occasional stuttering/crashes), the game started running much better after I dropped the texture resolution from max to 1/2 to the point I practically have any relevant issues atm

I turned off the grass and got at least 10+ FPS from that (and in my opinion, it looks better without it) Other than that everything is more or less set to max and it runs quite smoothly in the range between 50 and 60FPS.
I have a rather old setup with I7-8086k 4Ghz, 32GB RAM, and 1080ti. Currently running in window mode, and I expect to see an FPS drop if I try to run at full resolution (5k monitor)

‘Lowest’ is playable on my Ryzen 3 5300U with 16 GB RAM using Steam Play on Linux. Only when approaching and driving through Sosnowiec and Katowice it starts lagging, tearing with weird green artifacts, and eventually crashes.

My gfx card is out of my PC so i'm only doing dispatch.

Im using 1920x1080, low settings just on Mobo graphics output. Great for looking at the signal panels, trains jerk past of course but still playable!

Obviously can't drive yet...
