DanteZ
I suggest limiting this mode on official servers. I think that allowing anyone to be a dispatcher is a mistake. Because this position should only be people who know how to control the movement of trains.

While understandable, but how is one going to learn the "trick of the trade" when one doesn't get the chance to try it out?
Niko
I noticed one of the servers (EN1) is labeled "[For Beginners}" (sic). Perhaps if there are enough beginner-friendly servers available that allow anyone to play either role, other servers may have limits placed on them? It begs the question though of how one is evaluated to be let into the more restrictive servers.
PatRyKFH
The idea may be a good one, but how are we going to settle it. By some kind of vote, a referendum? As it stands, in my opinion, it is out
SurvivorSean
Dispatchers can learn on less busy or even dead servers. You'll be surprised how many servers have no player trains. Dispatching is very popular. Using the phone is also a good educational technique and learn from more expreienced dispatchers. I know how to dispatch I just needed some assistance on some of the unique features of Poland. From what I understand the developers are going to have some experience system in play to allow only experienced dispatchers the chance after release. Thanks Sean

BigVern
If anyone just wants to practice, I found the Aussie server very quiet at lunchtime (UK). I was the only live player on there, giving me a chance to generally play around in my first "NX" style signal box to learn the ropes, so to speak. I now my limitations and have no intention (yet) of dropping myself in at Lazy on a busy server. This is of course where a SP dispatcher mode would be great, you could even have it so users need to qualify or "pass out" in SP mode before unlocking in MP - either number of hours working the box or some sort of performance assessment (or both). DS mode seems to be MP-exclusive sadly atm. Sorry If this is no longer true - just my state of knowledge. "Need to qualify (pts), before MP" is a confirmed feature. Loongeron
The game is multinational, you need to limit it in moderation, because some simply will not be able to pass the language barrier. P.s What would you understand, I communicate with everyone on the forum through a translator 🥲 Edited December 14, 2022 by Loongeron

P.s Что бы вы понимали, я общаюсь со всеми на форуме через переводчика 🥲 I also communicate through translation, but in order to be able to communicate freely in the game, I learn a little English. As for dispatchers, I think you need to know how the remote control works. Make training. After all, if a novice sits down at the dispatcher and suddenly presses the wrong button somewhere, then all the trains will stop. I suggest introducing skill levels. It is very convenient to implement the communication of dispatchers through prepared phrases, this greatly simplifies communication.
