I know this post is about two years old, but please excuse me for replying now.
I’m also one of the many people who enjoy playing SimRail. However, I believe the game would be much more accessible and enjoyable if it were available in my native language, Japanese.
I looked into the possibility of creating a Japanese translation myself through a mod. However, after researching the matter and reviewing the EULA, it appears that modifying the game in this way is not permitted. Because of this, adding Japanese language support is something that can only be done with the involvement of the development team.
With that in mind, would you please consider adding Japanese language support to the game?
On a related note, have you considered using Crowdin as a translation platform?
I have personally used Crowdin while helping with the Japanese translation of a game called Iron Nest, and I found it to be a very useful tool for community localization projects.
If you decide to use Crowdin, I would be happy to contribute to the Japanese translation effort. Even if you choose a different approach, I would still be glad to help in any way I can should you decide to add Japanese language support in the future.
