  2. Well... That's the most confusing part... How to understand "without any cars"? If it's being towed does it means without self-power or without self-driving?
  3. Oh wow okay~ That's actually really practical! I think the translation of it should be updated, the "drive without car" really makes the player or even translator feels confused. I asked this yesterday but people including kojonek and miko don't understand what is it either.
  4. The "drive without car" headlight mode on EN76/96, marked as mode "L", is a headlight mode the red markers on both ends. There is also a Polish translation in the game calling this "jazda luzem", which I couldn't get the meaning of, even by translation tool. If it's "loose driving", such meaning seems so weird. How to describe this? If it's a mode that does some kind of shunting, it can't because this type of train usually does such operation at night, and how can it drive when it can't see anything in front? If it's the same as "Pc5" it also doesn't make sense. EN76/96 is an EMU train and you can't decouple it into single-carriage cars, the train will not move anywhere. Could it be for parking the train as a hot spare or will not use in a short period but need to keep online? If so, it's a pretty common light mode around the world.

  6. I found there's a glitch with the pattern on the graph. If you steer the wheel between two notches there's a chance the wheel will stick into a position between two notches (transition from -1000 to 1000 it may stuck at 0). So I recommend a detection mechanism, in that transition area, depending on the wheel rotation direction, just let the wheel produce some self-rotation effect during the transition(when the wheel is turning). Actually considering the actual shape of the inside, from -1000 to 1000 the static force in the transition area should always be 0 with a static damping effect to simulate friction.

  8. As we all know AMD GPU & old NV GPU users don't have a relatively nice upscaling method but have to stick with several kinds of AAs, which isn't very helpful for FPS. A few days ago I found there's an open-source project to bring FSR 2.2 to unity on Github, and I think it's worth a try to implement it into Simrail, as we all know FSR 1.0 sucks. Either can't drive the train while the loading progress bar not moving and poped "unknown issue" or successfully into a dispatch box then can't load the situation of railroads and signals and also poped "unknown issue" In the middle, I'm able to play for a short period of time.   22. Well. Let's say cold start is implemented, then how do you drive a train? Case 1 for people who want to be professional, just place a few trains on the platform or sideline, as it must be parked there either by last services completed or spawn from the border of the map and "should or need" to do a crew change. Then you can do a full service from the beginning by cold start (but battery and some equipments are already actived). To be able to do this, you need to have a booking list to book this service, then go to the platform/sidelines to wait for them, or they are already parked there just waiting for you to start a pleasant journey. Cold starting from the depot is another thing, trains can just spawn there and operate just the same from the other two ways. Case 2 for people who don't want to go through all the complications and just want to hop a train and drive, just stay with the current multiplayer driver mode. When it's time to depart but there's no case 1 driver driving it (let's say 30 seconds to go?), the train will automatic takeover and depart by AI, then case 2 player can join the scenario.
