restarted my computer and everything is working fine now. that is so weird... where do i go to grab a log file? i'll be ready to post that here if it happens again 😮

i don't think it would be so bad if it was small and in the corner similar to how the upcoming signal aspect is displayed on the HUD. Maybe an option in the settings to turn neutral section 'hints' on/off. 🙂

gonna check integrity of game files and will give it another try. it's so weird this is the first time having the issue of not moving. it sucks being the only person with a very specific issue cause then nobody else will really take it seriously. 😕

decided to create a new thread, but now it's impossible to move the character it's completely stuck, but can still interact with the dispatcher computer screens. Of course the game is actively being worked on, and as playtesters it's our job to report things that aren't working correctly, which is exactly what i'm doing here. it would be one thing if they were tiny hiccups, but this game isn't in the alpha stage, so a lot of what i'm experiencing definitely shouldn't be happening this close to when early access for the game starts.

Anyone else having server issues right now. Joining EN1 as dispatcher for PSARY and i've been booted FIVE times in the past 10 minutes. Join back, and it boots me again. It's still 20 minutes until reboot time, so this can't be the reason for being kicked from the server. Is it just this dispatcher post that's causing the server boot? First time it's ever happened this frequently and i'm playing after the new update that dropped last night. @uetam Edit: I think EN1 is kicking all of it's dispatchers. SEVEN times kicked in a 20-minute window and every time i go to re-join it says 0/11 dispatchers are in the server.. Anyone else having this issue or am I the only one?? gonna make a new thread for this actually

yup, but those times aren't shown live in the game for all players to see and be aware of. i'm sure most haven't joined us on the forums yet. Plus, they aren't always at those times in the thread, they vary.

I just had my longest run as well. My 6th to be fully completed out of almost 30 attempts now. 🙄 I noticed I joined around 22:15 polish time which is after the reboot. Just finished my run and it's still half an hour before the next reboots start. Still would be nice if each server had a countdown or a time visible somewhere for when it was going to happen next. Even a warning popup in the corner every half an hour would be helpful. @uetam

Exactly! Do you or anyone else know exactly what that scenario duration number means and also departure time at the top? is that when the service first began or when it departed it's most recent station stop in it's route? The scenario duration hasn't made any sense to me so far. the last train that said ~00:45, i drove for an hour and a half so that kind of made no sense. Is that time remaining on it's route? -

did not realize it took this long to restart them all, thought it was all only a minute or two so thank you!! i'll give it another go at around that time after each reset as the last 2 times i've tried, i wasn't successful and the server booted me. 😞

i haven't had a run longer than 45 minutes. attempted 2 services tonight. one, i was in for 5 minutes before a "sorry server disconnected". then another i made it 15 minutes before a "sorry server disconnected." I also don't quite understand how to know if a service is a full length service or not on the server selection screen.

I keep thinking of these neat ideas that will never come but it would be so so so cool if you could earn different tiers of license (unlocked at different scoring levels) that essentially get you into the more complicated signal boxes. Also, thought about having dispatcher sessions/shifts that you can commit to. For example, the longer the shift you commit to, the larger the score multiple when you successfully complete it. example: no dispatching shift commitment > 0 point bonus 15 minute dispatching shift > 500 point bonus if completed 30 minute dispatching shift > 2,000 point bonus if completed 1 hour dispatching shift > 8,000 point bonus if completed might sound a little dumb but with an incentive, more players are likely to commit and stay longer. 😇 -

so far i havent been able to earn score for dispatching, only driving. hoping this is implimented in the final version. Also i wonder how point deduction will work if that's implimented at all. If you make an error and send a train the wrong way, will that hurt your score? I honestly hope so. Realistically, you mess up... there are consequences. Mess up enough, and you won't be able to operate the top dog signal boxes until you increase your score again. I WANT THIS. -

just watched it an hour ago and the wording was weird. with the way he said it, it makes it sounds like there will be a variation of events in terms of scenarios/missions. this makes sense as each scenario is designed to be different. not super clear on if there is an actual timetable that these "random events" will occur on though. I'm sure they will go into more detail soon. idk maybe i'm mishearing it or something lol -
Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but i would love if both on the server list (main menu) AND in-game (TAB mode), it showed players when the last time the each individual server was rebooted and when it's rebooting next. I found myself joining a server that dropped me 20 or so minutes in that could've possibly been a server reboot, but since players don't have this information, we don't know if this was the cause for being disconnected or not.

really REALLY hoping we have a 'vote to reset train' or 'vote to delete service' from anything stuck. did the reset time change? i thought it was 6 hours. honestly, 3 is better lol.

Great points. Was in a server with someone yesterday that said in the final game, most or all signal boxes will have the ability to suit real players. I don't know how accurate that is, but i'm really hoping this is the case. If things get stuck, than it's more likely a human can get things figured out and moving again vs. AI. I don't know how smart the AI is with undoing damage done by players or if it can undo damage at all.

Yes, i went to TSW 3 right after and even though that game lacks creative freedom and cool intuitive features, it's just so polished and well optimized (ignoring the bugs that come with it). It's hard to speak on simrail too much cause we are playing a playtest version and i know it's going to differ from the released product, but the final thing can't be too much better in terms of performance or issues considering there is a lot that isn't available to us in the build we are playing now. 😕 I actually have a lot of faith in SP. I think it'll be a better experience all around for players in terms of bugs/issues. 🙂

I was simply sharing my experiences exactly how they occurred which were all documented on videos i'm not sure if i want to post (yet). The admins even confirmed servers are having a really hard time with players. For sure not an exaggeration, and downplaying player experiences for sure isn't the way to go, especially during essential playtesting. Out of the 15-20 service attempts over the past few days i was only able to successfully complete 3-5 of them and thats with fiber internet and a beast of a PC. So i know it's not an issue on my end. But my point still stands, and i know not everyone will agree with me, probably the only one, but this is nowhere near release-ready. There just seems to be too much not functioning properly. I know i wouldn't wanna pay for a game that didn't function right (learned my lesson with a company that shan't be named), and if we are being real here, things are pointing to most of this not being sorted out within the next 3 weeks. Not being pessimistic, but simply being realistic. Would love to be proven wrong, though! Regardless, the devs are working so hard and i'm sure they are at this probably 24/7. Things are improving faster than I thought they would. A release during the summer 2023 with several more playtests to follow would be ideal (in my opinion) but to each their own. 🤷♂️ A release sooner with a potentially unstable launch is just more of a risk for it's reception and longevity, then a 2-4 month delay with many more playtest opportunities.

gonna give this a rest until single player tests come. just starting to frustrate me at this point. can't stay in a server more than 10 minutes before it unexpectedly drops me, then when the server is stable i'm just stuck at reds for every single service i join whether the server is driver only or both driver and dispatcher. Starting to feel like an official release delay really might be necessary. It just doesn't feel ready to come next month, and i guess i'm worried players will rush to purchase, have issues, then rush to refund the game and won't come back. And with the hard work that seems to have went into this, it really deserves to shine.

Will all stations be available for dispatch ?

Also really hoping in the final game, signal boxes with this high of a difficulty do not let randoms or those with low/new scores join. This should be something you, as a player, have to work towards to operate. It's just too complex and letting anyone and everyone in here (and other moderately difficult signal boxes) will only result in gridlocks. @uetam -
