Km counter increased massively after update

At the start of 1.0 update I was at around 7000km as seen in this screenshot below taken on Friday the 13th. Then suddenly I was given the 10 000km achievement while still being at 7000km in-game. Then the day after I booted up the game and suddenly my in-game km counter was also reset to 10 000km.

 

Here a screenshot showing that I got the 10 000km achievement a day after the screenshot of 7000km was taken, I don't think it's physically possible to drive an additional 3000km within that time-frame.
