I wouldn't be so sure, the rules talk about intentionality of the action not errors, and how do you demonstrate intentionality? ... in my case for example the moderator was wrong. Even the moderator's activity is not very clear, from one day to the next I found myself banned, perhaps before reaching this point it wouldn't be bad to receive some warnings with related reasons, perhaps a popup like those used to ban. I repeat what has already been said previously, in my opinion you are too intransigent guys, this way of doing things risks walk away people who approach this beautiful game even though they are not experts like you and without the obsession of perfectionism at any cost. This attitude will backfire on you, there are too few of you, the game is too niche to be able to afford this type of "selection" of deserving users. The time will come when they will shut down your servers because they are no longer economically sustainable given the numbers. Obviously I don't wish it on you but I think it will go like this 2
Mrakov Posted November 19 Posted November 19 (edited) I also played on pl2 and got a warning for not knowing the language, I even had an empty station at the time and still got the warning. When someone wrote to me in the chat, I always translated everything and answered. Edited November 19 by Mrakov
chancellor Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I have played a bit in PL2 recently and saw two cases of a foreign player dispatching there. In one case, they were on Sosnowiec Południowy and were chatting (written chat) quite a bit in English. Every Polish player that was passing through responded as well (I was driving so can only speak of the time I was nearby) - all in all it was a great atmosphere. I believe the player was around level 50 in the game (people do check levels if something is amiss with dispatching and such). In the other case, the foreigner was in Dąbrowa Górnicza Ząbkowice and was not saying a thing. I saw two Poles complaining about it because they were sent to a different route (the freight one or the slow passenger one) and would like an explanation or at least a warning. They were complaining to the point that other Polish dispatchers scolded them. I would say feel free to join PL2 but please try to write about changes in routes or train sequences in English. It seems PL2 players are used to being warned in such situations and if you don't say anything, some may see it as trolling from a foreign visitor. I am not saying their approach is correct* but I think this may be the reason of the overly hostile reaction from them. Also, I don't anything but English will work. As a side note: if you are wondering what the voice chatter you hear in PL2 is about: in most cases drivers are asking dispatchers "Will I have a clear route through the station?", general greetings with "radio checks". *I could hear quite a bit of trash talk about foreigners in such situations which is just sad. 1
