Larynx Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Hello, I am currently sitting as a dispatcher on a server and have exactly nothing to do. There is simply no train. If I then want to take over a train myself, I don't really have anything to choose from. I would like to be able to run special trains with a start and destination point defined by me. This would also make the work in the interlocking much more interesting, since the loose timetable would then become somewhat tighter and fuller - so that talent is necessary. Accordingly, also a little more fun factor comes up! Alternatively, the timetable could be tightened up considerably. Thanks 🙂
BigVern Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 (edited) This is the one problem with dispatcher on a real time MP game. Unlike driving there are often long gaps between trains with nothing to do, even on the main line. With something like SimSig, PC Rail or the old SIAM traffic control games, you can speed things up until the next action required. On the other hand an artificially busy timetable is only going to add to the issues at current bottlenecks like Lazy. And of course the quieter signalboxes are handy for learning the processes etc. Edited December 14, 2022 by BigVern

Loongeron Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 This is the specifics of the railway multiplayer, everything should be close to the real railway. And there may not be a squad for half an hour. And so this problem is solved by creating a private server, where you yourself decide what kind of movement will be, active or not. I hope this feature will be added.

Gazz292 Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 if you click on the coupler when it's highlighted in yellow, a menu pops up, at the moment it's only god 'cancel' as the option, but i can see that we will be able to couple and uncouple... maybe even do each item individually... connect the air hoses, electrical jumpers and wind in the screw coupler. 1

I also like to play Microsoft Flight Simulator and other interlocking simulations like Signalsoft. It is also very quiet there. If you think about it, it is very difficult to conduct maneuvers in this version of multiplayer, because it must be programmed by AI. Another thing is when the server is private and the dispatcher decides for himself which train to send where and which wagons to unhook. I agree, that is the part I like most besides dispatch. The couplers are already working (but disabled in playtest, they were working in Prologue). A little diesel locomotive for shunting would be awesome! 1
