More tuning on Texture Resolution

Hello

When playing at max settings few users may experience some stutters, at the moment we have 3 option to adjust the quality of texture, If possible I think is better to have a slider or more options to fine tune texture resolution even more (Example 80% of full res, 70% etc...)

Hi @alegalga98!

Thanks for your suggestion.

Unfortunately, texture sizes should be "power of two" size, i.e. 256px, 512px, 1024px ... due to many performance circumstances.

It's possible to pass this condition only by 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 multiplers. Percentage value will not be available here.

Yeah, but if say a texture is 4096x4096, can't you make the options 3072x3072, 2048x2048, and 1024x1024?

@uetam I think there is only one solution to this. Since we cannot gain more control over the precise size of the textures, the alternative would be to give us more control as to which textures we are affecting. What I mean is - the "Texture Size" setting should be split into "World Textures", "Vehicle Textures" and "Environment Textures". That way, a user can have nice large textures on something he looks at all the time (trains), whilst turning down the environment textures to a lower setting. I mean, at the very least, give us one for trains and one for world, that way I can have nice high resolution textures inside the cab, whilst the world is a little worse.
