GDI 2600 full cab simulator.

A few years ago, my team rehabilitated an old Giravions Dorand Industries fulll cab simulator that's been running for the last two years with a simulator software...

... but today, we have atempted to use it on our much loved Simrail.

 

It was nice to see that many input commands worked.  Some fine tunning is needed but we are pleased with the result. We hope in the near future to have an API that will allow us to get information to feed the cab controller we developed with an Arduino Due.

 

We also hope to hear back from SimRail team. We just love you guys.

I am aware that without a dedicated API it is impossible to control all elements of the cabin, but we plan to provide a dedicated communication protocol that share most of the physical parameters of the vehicle.

WOW, can I have this for Christmas ?  😏

Besides, I would like to have the opportunity to have more key rebinds like Converter, certain Relais-reset buttons etc. There's still room on my Streamdeck!

And of course rebinding of controller buttons so I can get rid of the Steam Controllersettings...

joking aside, we are aware of your efforts for new I/O devices so we will patiently wait for it. The logical conclusion of this will be having the editors and tools to be able to make content (route and rolling stock) suitable for the locomotive 😉
