Blo0dyMustard
Hello Developer Team and Readers! I have played this game for quite some time and have experienced the timetable quite well. Here, I’m proposing some fine tuning for the timetable. I will break down the fine tuning into two chapters: Schedule tuning, and schedule addition A. Schedule Tuning I have noticed that some trains spawned “not quite on the right time”, this results in that particular train to hold traffic behind it. Thus, I’m proposing some changes: Added stopping time I personally think the stopping time at big stations for some trains are a little bit too quick. Adding more stop time from only 1 minute to at least 2 minutes can be more realistic for passenger boarding at big stations. One example is the stopping time for ECE 141xx at Zawiercie that only takes 1 minute. TDE 132xxx This train may be able to spawn later so that it can be overtaken by EIP 13xx and 14xx at Korytów or even Grodzisk. This will prevent TDE 132xxx to “escape” the Virtual Dispatcher’s watch and block the two EIPs down the line. TDE 442xxx Częstochowa Towarowa-Sosnowiec Maczki This train may be able to spawn later so that it doesn’t clash with ECE 141xxx at Zawiercie. TLK 241xx Kielce-Gliwice via Knapówka This train may be able to spawn right after ECE 141xx had passed Knapówka. This way, this train wouldn’t block EIP 14xx & ECE 141xx down the line. I also proposed a line change for this train from DGZ-Dorota-Sosnowiec Południowy to the mainline of DGZ- Będzin- Sosnowiec Główny, and add Będzin Miasto as a stop to replicate some TLKs that stopped there. TLK 421xx Gliwice-Kielce via Knapówka This train may be able to spawn later or stopped at Katowice for longer time. I also suggested route change for this train to be the same as TLK 241xx Kielce-Gliwice via Knapówka, from branch line to main line and add a stop at Będzin Miasto. ZUE 629xxx & ZXE 649xxx These train’s schedule may be able to be reduced to relief the line’s capacity and added realism of having only a handful of special maintenance trains for one day. S41 406xx Tychy Lodowisko- Częstochowa So far, S41 406xx towards Częstochowa takes the track 4 from DGZ towards Łazy . I think making this train stop longer, wait for ECE 411xx, and then taking the track 2 towards Łazy would be a better choice. S41 406xx Częstochowa-Tychy Lodowisko This train may be able to spawn later behind ECE 141xx and TLK 241xx from Góra Włodowska so that it doesn't clash with each other. PWJ 146xxx I think the spawn time for this train can be made earlier or later so that it doesn’t clash with EIE 131xx down the line. PWJ 446xxx This train is a great addition to the timetable, but I think it would be better for this train to take the ZUE 629xxx/ZXE 649xxx slots and take the main line from Katowice to Zawiercie. B. Schedule Addition I have seen some Katowice trainspotting videos and I seen many traffics to and from Mysłowice. If it’s possible, I think adding more traffic from and towards Mysłowice will make the dispatching game play at Katowice and Katowice Zawodzie more engaging. The traffic can resemble real life traffic of cargo and intercity trains. That is all! I don’t mind if this suggestion doesn’t get accepted, or the devs have a better new timetable. After all, the devs knows better that a player like me. Can’t wait to have further discussion down in the comments. Thank you! 😄 Edited December 3, 2023 by Blo0dyMustard
Albien
Problem isn't the timetable itself for most of these. The timetable has 'pt' stops in them to let faster traffic pass. The issue is that the AI dispatchers (and some humans) just ignores these stops in the timetable and sends the train on anyways. If they fix the AI's so they actually hold trains with pt stops in their schedule most of the issues resolve themselves. Human dispatchers is another issue.
