Reassignment of speed control keys breaks the quick turn key combo

In the EP07 loco types I noticed that I lost the power wheel quick turn feature after reassigning the speed control keys from NUM + and NUM - to NUM 5 and NUM 2. By default the quick turn is actuated by Shift + NUM+ or NUM-

My expectation was that the shift combo would work with my newly assigned keys.
