Today I was driving an EC service and made a routine stop at a station, however when I went to depart and put my service brake back into the running position, the brake hose refused to drop below 15%. I tried various positions of the brake lever, including fill, disabled, as well as putting it back into initial and attempting to release again. I also tried the brake releaser button. Nothing worked. I was able to apply power, however the brake pressure was sufficient to prevent me from moving.

I have found similar topics regarding brake release but not this issue exactly, so I'm trying to figure out if I did something wrong or if it was some kind of bug.

If I get a situation I can’t recover from, I activate the bot for a few seconds and let AI sort my mess out😅

Did you have compressor running, maybe unable to raise the pressure in the brakesystem?

Without seeing a picture of the brakes gauges it's impossible to say, but sounds like the compressor had tripped out at some point and there wasn't enough pressure in the main res tanks to recharge the brakes to their off position (4.5 bar)

I'm voting for the compressor as well. I had something similar happen when I once again was trying to type to chat, but instead I was still on the interface and pushed god knows what buttons. Brake pressure staid on 6%. I tried turning it off and on, but only when I clicked the reset button, then it started working. Also a light went off from the dash.

We've all done it, normally for me it's the main breaker switch!

Whoever thought having a transparent chat box was a good idea that you can operate stuff behind/through needs a talking to! I still think that chat box needs moving (or allow us to move it!) to the top left out of the way.

If anything it's the only reason why I dug out an old mic for use in the game for when I'm driving, so I'm not hitting buttons I shouldn't be, but also so that I can acknowledge the SHP/CA alerts without the brakes kicking in and it then nicely docks me 50 points!

Thanks for the responses guys, I too now am thinking I must've accidentally turned off the compressor.

i can't wait for the SDK to be released that will allow people to write things to connect to the sim.

I'd love to see a SimRail chat app on my phone, i.e. the chat box moved off the main screen and on my phone,
with the phone's keyboard under it for typing on etc, so just like sending or receiving a 'real life' text message you can receive and send SimRail text messages... in a more realistic manner i think (your phone when running SimRail text app would be classed as a company communications device, so is allowed whilst driving 🙂

Got a similar issue, but with power. After speeding the loc turns itself off and I couldn't find how to turn it on. Sometimes I activate the bot and the issue solves itself, sometimes not

Do you mean you got overcurrent on the motors? image.thumb.jpeg.85ff9495b9f6733dd7be16465b16439a.jpeg
