Fightdrug
i guess you mean to tell the other dispatcher to tell him that the train is on the way to him 😉 i normaly do that when the train enter my last station signal 😄
Blacky
I send out the message when I see the red lights of a train after passing my signal box, making sure it hasn't lost any cars on the way (even if it is not implemented yet).
Schyrsivochter
As far as I know, departure notification should be given: for a stopping train: when the train has started moving after its stop for a crossing train: when the train crosses the middle of the station (or junction/crossover) For signal boxes controlling multiple posts (with multiple timetables), like Sosnowiec Główny, that goes for the respective last post the train runs through. That means a train that stops at Sosnowiec Główny should be announced to Katowice Zawodzie not when it starts moving from the platform, but when it passes the junction from Sosnowiec Południowy. 28 minutes ago, Blacky said: I send out the message when I see the red lights of a train after passing my signal box, making sure it hasn't lost any cars on the way (even if it is not implemented yet). Making sure a train is complete by checking the tail signal a) is not necessary if there is a working track occupancy detection system, b) is a condition for notifying the previous dispatcher of arrival, not for notifying the next dispatcher of departure.
