Aero1995 Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 There are some big stations where the tracks are empty, like Idzikowice, Zawiercie, where you could put some static freight wagons. I don't know if it's possible, but in the dispatching mode just close that track. 1 10
Zulnex Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I was just thinking about this earlier. It would be great to see some static freight and passenger cars on tracks which are not used. 1
giBBer8 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I think having 'static stock' appear at stations increases the RAM demand on your card, leading to buffering on less powerful PCs. Maybe a separate issue but the same result, have you tried overtaking another moving train? It is a laggy mess. 1
Schinken235 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I think this problem will solve itself when shunting gets implemented. 1

Haven't really thought about this. 🤔 Edited March 25, 2023 by Zulnex
Gazz292 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 usually you'd have low poly models of the trains for the ones that are placed to fill out a goods yard, basic views of the interiors through the windows if you get close enough, no working parts etc, they just become scenery objects then?
giBBer8 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 The same as having extra bits to load in Transport Fever 2 or Cities Skylines, don't do it unless you have more than 16GB RAM. Same as life...the pretty extras cost more...

Schyrsivochter Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I do think static decorative vehicles would improve realism and immersion, but also I agree that performance may be an issue, so I think they could simply be made optional, with a setting to turn them off. 1
