jmluengor
When I apply the brake on the EU07 (Num3 key) to reduce speed, the brake works correctly, but when I intend to release it to accelerate again, the brake is not always released by pressing the Num9 key, as it remains in the "Hold" position. Visually the brake lever does move, but the brake is not released, the locomotive gradually loses speed and I have to use the cursor to move the lever and release the brake completely. I raise this issue because I have already checked it in four or five driving sessions with this locomotive and the same thing always happens: the Num9 key does not work properly. Thank you for your attention.
ekto
I would suggest using the Num6 key, this releases the brake. I never actually use Num9 key, since the brakes are so slow and I cannot be sure whre the handle then is. If I need to reduce the braking effort, I will click Num6 and then once or twice Num3 to reapply the brake.
weezzah
A while back I did an investigation related to braking in the EU07, and found out that when releasing brakes with the 9 key, it will eventually snap into the fully released position. BUT there's a catch to this way of fully releasing: If you from there hold the 3 key to apply brakes again, the lever will quickly move into emergency braking. And most of the time you don't want that. So moral of the story is, as @ekto said, use the 6 key when you want to fully release the brakes. Doing brake adjustments with 3 and 9 key is okay, but stay away from using the 9 key to fully release brakes. Finally, the last video in the linked post below shows the snap I was talking about, and also the emergency brake pitfall:
jmluengor
Thank you both for your helpful recommendation. I didn't know that the Num6 key could be used.
