First Opinion after 19h testing

Hello,

I would like to give a short feedback after about 19h of playing/testing.

The beginnings were partly chaotic, but it settled down after a few hours and so I was able to perform longer services on the signal box and also driving services during the night.

Simrail awakens in me the memories I had when I regularly travelled from Luxembourg to Poland to visit my grandmother in the Masuria, and have done so ever since I can remember.

I have the greatest respect for the whole SimRail team and hope that you will have great success with Simrail. For me it is clear that it will be a must-buy.

Now to a few points that caught my eye. The biggest bugs have already been reported and taken up/fixed by you.

I assume that many functions have been deactivated/removed for the playtest build, as you are probably focusing on the interaction of the AI/players in multiplayer and communication.

Most of the items I'm listing now are probably simply disabled in the test build.

- I miss the departure messages via radio from the train boss/conductor. (As in the prologue)
- Some wagons do not have working destination displays (Probably available in the full version).
- Timetable is very simplified and repetitive (Probably to have enough trains for the test build, will probably be replaced by the real timetable in the full version?)
- The EU07 sways too much for me, it makes you seasick. Either adapt this to the condition of the tracks (however, the tracks are in good condition, especially on the high-speed line) or make the animation more random. It is very noticeable because the passenger cars run stably and the locomotive rocks at the front as if in a rough sea.
- The station announcements will probably only be available in the full version?

A few suggestions/wishes
- An overview map would be desirable. (I know that there should be a map for multiplayer that can be seen online. FB post) However, a built-in map as an overview for the train driver would not be bad, especially for multiplayer, so that you can see whether the block in front of you is free or occupied due to a bug, so you avoid unnecessary waiting time at signals when there is no further way anyway.
- Show the complete timetable of the train with all stops.
- If necessary, a kind of route timetable where all speed changes, stops, etc. are entered (comparable to the book timetable/EBuLa in Germany).
- When taking over a train in multiplayer, display more information in the selection menu. E.g. current delay, current position, route (i.e. start and end station). At the moment, you can only see the route, but not the direction in which the train is travelling.

That's it for now with my feedback. I am confident that many more bugs will be found and that many bugs in the single player will be found and fixed before release.

Agree, I've already had a lot of fun since the update last night. The AI dispatcher has broken this morning though, until the server reset at 0715 GMT.

As to the MP server UI screen, where you pick a train, I too would like more information - location of train, where it's going. Also on this screen it would be nice if it showed, maybe; all of the trains - with those already being driven 'greyed out' and it showing the current players name? That way we can see our friends before we begin*.

The train list could have sorting too - list by available trains (filter those already in use*) list by journey length, train type, unit/loco type.

Anyway, Simkol I wish you all great wishes - a lot of potential in this sim. Had a lot of fun in MP last night and finally drove the whole of the current available route in 2.5 hours on an EC.  Thankyou!
