Graffiti on trains

Maybe we could have our steam profile logos graffitied on the train?

Fortunately grafitti isn't that big of an issue in Poland anymore and you rarely see this kind of devastation. I believe the carriers that have their counterparts in SimRail wouldn't be very happy to see people pay money to see their trains vandalised 😉

But to be honest, something on a freight car from time to time would be a nice variation though.

not graffiti, but we need way more variations.
different owners of freight cars, different companies, different colors and some different details like dirt, rust ect...

i have take thousands of pictures of german railroads and implement them as new rolling stock in other train simulator games...

A few different liveries would definitely make things a bit more interesting, but it's also not the most important thing to implement at the moment.

I agree but, I think you need to take into consideration that those liveries (whilst the editors are not available) are to be made by developers, and because this is not a freeware software, I highly doubt the operators would happily agree to such reskins... Unless you don't add logos and such (or add variations of them like Trainstation did).

 

I'm still waiting for the EN57 and its versions, you can get a lot of EMU from there. 😝

Edit: But on second thought, TSW is all about using official licences, and at the same time has content created by users in their official editors.

There's a difference between an individual (who is not getting profit from creating a livery) and a company who includes/sells a train in a payware software, that's why some of 3rd party contents in RW create payware content and then they release a freeware pack containing logos and such.

That's a clever workaround with the freeware pack. But will there be a way for us to create liveries?

SDK will be coming sometime after the end of the Early Access (3~6months) as they said in their Q&A video last year.
