Blacky Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 (edited) Hello, as you probably know, when at regulator setting 43 in the EU07, it can take some time to reach the 0-position when holding down the "downshift" button. I had this issue several times when this procedure just took too long, e. g when a "danger ahead" signal appears or you have to cut the power at a power disconnect point (however you call it). This made me wish for a button to quick-set the regulator to the 0-position, just as the brake lever has this button too (6 on the numpad by default). You can see this being done much faster in real life: Thanks! Edited December 25, 2022 by Blacky
SIMRAIL Team Solution Królik Uszasty Posted December 26, 2022 SIMRAIL Team Solution Posted December 26, 2022 You can use left Shift + Num- for fast decrease to 28 and 0 position. Maybe it's not the same as you wish, but it's already implemented and allows for fast reduction of power. 1 1 1

Expand how long do you think it takes to wind the wheel round 43 notches in real life? it takes about 3 seconds in SimRail to fast move from notch 42 to zero, using the 'shift' key and the '+' or '-' keys. Part of being a train driver is anticipating the road ahead, you are not driving a car, it can take a couple of kilometers to stop a heavy freight train,
robert357 - W7 FTW Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 You can do that basically as fast as you can IRL. 1 1
Gazz292 Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 So, how fast you can move the wheel in SimRail is about similar to real life: SimRail 2022-12-27 21-35-39.mp4
