SurvivorSean Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 OK I first heard this sound when I was in the dispatcher booth trying to get the trains moving again that were stuck to the right of Bezin and through this signal box. I won't bother repeating the known issues with trains routed the wrong way causing some of this chaos. Anyways suddenly I hear this sound and I thought who did that to check the players online and nobody was on. I thought that was strange. Later that night I ran a train and part way in on one occasion I hear it again. I can understand this sound over a bump (thought I find it will become annoying and old) but what is going on in the signal box? Thanks Sean
Kaito Kid Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Thought it was an external sound, thanks for writing this. 😂
Schyrsivochter Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 What kind of sound are you talking about?
SurvivorSean Posted December 23, 2022 Author Posted December 23, 2022 If you watch my stream from last night I forget the time stamp. Thanks Sean
Krtek-JC Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 Essentially a *boom* and an „Oww“. I always wonder what it‘s supposed to be… 1
Gazz292 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 i think thats the sound we noticed in the trains at the beginning of playtesting, we were wondering if it was supposed to be a sound of the driver hitting his head or something when going over a rough bit of track, i was thinking maybe a pneumatic contactor opening, the 'owwww' being a rapid release of air. Others thought it may have been a sound that was accidentally left in. But if it's doing it in the signal box, that's made it even weirder. could it be the sound of a developer hitting the desk and going 'ooowwwwferfecksake' when things weren't going to plan 🤔 3
Thistle Whistle Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 I think it's for bumpy points, but just glitched. I have had it over points, but I've had it when stationary, too, and obviously in the signal box either makes it weirder, or more glitched. I think it's just a light hearted little addition included to raise a smile. Maybe it would wear thin over time, but it's such a short bit of audio and happens fairly infrequently that they've probably judged it about right. But the other theories are interesting, so I'd love to know what it's about.
Blacky Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 When I had my first dispatcher session I thought that would be the sound of a derailing train and the sound that my character does because of that, lol. I'm glad that was not the case.
SurvivorSean Posted December 23, 2022 Author Posted December 23, 2022 Thing is until that particular session I never heard it before. Very strange.
Gazz292 Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 i have to say i havent heard it in the EU07 since a good few days ago, Maybe they have put some padding over the drivers seat so he's not hitting his head anymore 🤕
SIMRAIL Team GoppelPL Posted December 26, 2022 SIMRAIL Team Posted December 26, 2022 The same sound is played when you hit a person in the full cab (real driver training) simulator based on SimRail. The question is why does the game think you've hit somebody.
Fightdrug Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 i normaly hear that stuff when i drive the EMU i dont find some blood at the front and dont hear bones break so i guess its someone in the train that was going to fast to the WC 🙂
