Hi there....

I was driving on DE2 Server and saw a huge pile up of trains again southbound in fron ot Lazy.

After asking in chat and via voice, dispatchers said thhat AI was aunable to handle trains. So I decided to switch to a driver only server.

Guess what? No pile up with dispatchers being AI only.

First picture is the englisch drivers only server with all trains running smoothly.

Now second is DE with "AI" induced traffic jam.

Why is that, that human dispatchers are apparently either unable to coordinate with AI or unable to identify what to do?

Maybe they are not confirming the track is clear in the chat on the lines with no train integrity monitoring (3K, 4K) to the AI, so it does not send the trains towards Lc.

EDIT: Also I got the feeling that if you communicate with the neighbouring AI controlled station, it is more likely to have the path prepared for the oncoming trains thus no yellows on last automatic block section.

I believe it's mostly due to the lack of infrastructure knowledge, which tracks are going to which destination and the sending those trains to those destinations, I have no problems at all with the interlockings, but Lazy Lc is another world. I still need to check from time to time the diagram of this station.

People need to get knowledge and gain some experience. I also had issues at the beginning as there are no procedures described for dispatchers etc (apart from manuals on how to operate the dispatcher desktop from the technical perspective) but from what I can see in the last few days, more and more dispatchers are 100% professional, trying to do their best and handling the trains with the highest attention possible. We just need to give ourselves some more time ;).

Main issue with Lazy Lc are two one-track routes which need manual confirmation. Not to mention that one of them is placed on very bottom on the board and what I've seen a lot of people don't pay attention to that one. It's easy to lock up other station. In game there are also missing few sounds like buzzer/bell etc. I really hope there will be not only a LVL requirement but also a mandatory simple tutorial explaining more difficult stations before someone could play on these stations.

Lazy LC is pretty straight forward.  Answer the dispatcher's requests and pretty much you line everything straight through.  The only hurdles is you have to release the block on the top left side, and as mentioned monitor the entrance at the bottom.  Otherwise it's all straight through movements.

Thanks

Only on a very good day. 😄

I didn't struggle too much with Lazy LC. The two single lines at the bottom work on the acceptance system which was easier on the "domino" NX panel than the digital one. What does catch the unaware out is to clear the route for two of the lines towards Lazy you need to hit the train departure button, otherwise the exit track circuit will remain showing occupied and you can't route another train towards it.
