NightWallker Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM There are several issues with the ČD 163 I operate it regularly. 1) When using the sander button, you only hear the sound of the button being pressed inside the cab—there is no hissing sound of sand being dispensed, nor can you see any sand falling under the wheels. Consequently, when hauling a heavy load, you have no way of knowing if the locomotive will actually start moving, as there is no clear indication that the button is doing anything at all. 2) When using the windshield wipers in the rain, from the cab view, it looks as though the wiper blades are folded away from the glass rather than resting against it to clear the raindrops. 3) When lowering the pantographs, there is no audible cue—such as the sound of the mechanism operating or the impact when the pantograph settles onto the roof of the locomotive. 4) The control for the windshield wipers is missing from the cab interior entirely, forcing the user to search everywhere to find it. 5) It is impossible to configure the controller to display the current signal aspect (traffic light color) inside the cab.
