Rattie Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I am mostly driving the ED250 Pendolino on INT1, where I have started to observe a frustrating problem/issue, regarding level crossing not being secured by the time you pass the appropriate signal, or the signal gets lit at the very last moment. Most of the time this results in an ETCS emergency braking, raking in serious speed penalties, but not always. Sometimes I have been hard on the brakes, and the ETCS computer still give full movement authorisation, essentially ignoring the alleged unsecure crossing. In that case I can simply speed up again. When the level crossing is not secure, the signal is always off. I have never experience the use of the two horizontal yellow light aspect, which would be more fitting in my opinion. This problem can potentially happen anywhere on the line. But the line between Sprowa and Psary is particularly problematic, and passing this section without any level crossing issues, feels like winning the lottery. I have added the log of my latest run, which I stopped short after experiencing yet another level crossing issue on the aforementioned section. It also adds insult to injury, that you cannot brake hard enough to avoid penalty points. Even if you apply the emergency brake after passing the "crossing ahead" markers. The ED250 is more than capable of stopping long before the crossing, so a more realistic / less strict stopping distance would be appreciated! SimRail_log_2026-07-27_13-20-53.txt
