wutt
I don't know if it counts as a bug or not but opening the passenger doors while using a EU06 locomotive doesn't work. I tried both I and P but there is no animation and the objective "pick up passengers from station x " doesn't update, so nobody boards the train. Also I think the loco has an open doors button. I didn't see any big discussion about this so I don't know if this is a my-end problem or its already known by everybody.
SIMRAIL Team Stele Posted December 19, 2022 SIMRAIL Team Share Posted December 19, 2022 It does not have such buttons. It's design from the sixties after all. Doors should be manually operated by passengers. If timer doesn't update, you probably stopped too far from end of platform sign. Do passengers at least walk towards doors? There was a bug, that if they boarded any train in their lifespan, they walked to the doors but didn't wanted to board. 1
TheShotte
As above, the only thing I would like to add is, when you're meant to stop in a station, you have the info on your HUD in the top right corner of the screen. The distance counter will keep counting down. 0 is the start of the station relative to you, and you will typically pull in with 300-200m left to start of station. Depending on the length of your vehicle, it is possible to stop early. You know you have "stopped" at a station successfully when that distance counter turns green. If it's the regular color, the game is not recognizing you as "stopped at the station". This happened to me once or twice before I got used to things, and sometimes the "Read to Stop" text bugs out, where it shows up for a split second and disappears. Hope this helps. BigVern
This is where SimRail does it right, unlike TSW where you are driving your Class 45 or Class 47 loco hauled train across the Pennines but absurdly have to "operate" the doors at stations. On old style slam door coaching stock without central locking, passengers opened and closed the doors themselves with the station staff or guard assisting with closure before departure. Not the driver's job.
Gazz292
i get a banner across the middle top of the screen saying 'you can stop now' this tells me the rear of my train is fully in the platforms, and no need to keep going right to the end of the platform when you only have 3 carriages behind you.
