At Dabrowa Gornicza station their are two level crossings. before the level crossings is a exitsignal called C2. I cant clear trains to stop at that exit signal before i close the level crossings. beyond the exit signal. In practice that leeds to the level crossings being closed before the train even arrives at the station.

Let us clear trains to exitsignal c2 without closing the levelcrossings and when we want to clear the train for departure we need to close the levelcrossings.

I thought it was a safety feature for the idiot drivers like me who blow by the station when trying to stop 🙂  I did this a few days ago as I was paying attention to the stop signal and not the station in the corner which is a BAD HABBIT!

Thanks

In reality you are able to use signal D when signal C2 is red and first railroad crossing is open. In this situation, signal D limits speed of trains to 40km/h.

In fact signal D only purpose is to slow down trains to be able enter platforms without closing this first railroad crossing 🙂

That's good they have that kind of thing in place to slow the trains down,

Where i live in the UK, there is a level crossing about 50 meters past the town station, and the barriers are closed before the train enters the station no matter which direction it's coming in from,

So when the train has the platforms before the crossing, the crossing gates are closed and stay closed until the train has stopped at the station, picked up passengers and moved off again over the crossing,

Sometimes it's down for almost 10 minutes, due to the rules that say that the crossing must be secured before the train enters the station, in-case it dosent stop in time.

Well i think it still does that, i have taken the longer route into town for the past few years just to avoid that darn crossing.
