pschlik Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 A few times now when I'm driving freight trains, I've had an objective complete just to get a message telling me I lost 1000 points for not stopping. I don't know what I'm supposed to do here as unlike passenger trains, there's notification like 'approaching stop' or 'you can stop now', really there's nothing sending the message to me that I'm supposed to stop at all, so it's very confusing. Not to mention...why would a freight train need to stop at these random locations anyway? One time this happened while I was on the mainline going 80-was I supposed to stop on the mainline and hold up everyone else? 1
hyzwar Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 A known issue that will be fixed. Scoring in MP will be redone. 1
BigVern Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 As an aside to this, where do you look in the game for your points score? Clicking on the avatar just opens a Steam page. Not that I'm hugely bothered as we have TSW to collect "Action Points" but it would be nice to check once in a while. 1
rostyk Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Actually dispatcher should place you on waiting track not on passing one in you timetable its show that freight train will layoff for 15 minutes but AI dispatcher never do it and human one also willing to bypass too also note suffix /pt at the end of in-game timetable which will indicate this required stops pt - postój tylko dla potrzeb technicznych [parking for technical purposes only]

I mean, if it's 00:15 and you're departing as soon as you arrive at the station when theoretically your departure time is 00:25, isn't it a bit your fault too? 😛 Or doesn't this show up on the driver's timetable? SurvivorSean Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 I don't think it's your fault for being early to a non-stop but yes you're supposed to stop. I shoud pay more attention the PT even with passengers then. I understood what it mean in the signal boxes but paid more attention to the stop start times as a stop as I would see 1 minute stops. I had something up towards the busier end of the line last night before I had to bail saying approaching station when I passed what I thought was a simple time and runthrough. I'll try to look for that as well. Thanks Sean
Jasonic Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 As a driver of a freight train if you get clear signals you are going to carry on and hopefully get an early finish 😉 of course if the dispatcher sticks to the schedule and holds you then there is nothing you can do. 1
SurvivorSean Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I also got deducted points (or at least it said I did). But at the end of the run on the graph it never showed up. It's a bug at one of the stations only I believe. They're aware of it as I've seen it on the bugs forum. Thanks Sean

oli806 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Stops for freight services are mostly optional though as already stated. The best thing for especially heavy freight trains is being able to carry on all the way, saves a lot of energy and time that would take it to accelerate again. Overtakings, breaks and things like this are dispatched spontaneously outside the timetable most times. For the marked freight train there should have been an entry "pt" in the "stop type" column which means that this is an optional stop. If it was for "ph" in this column that would mean that there is an non-optional stop for passengers, which is not allowed to be departed from early.
