A Handful Of General Questions

I've already asked in the Off Topic section re a save game in single player mode, but would really appreciate an answer on that.

Last night I was getting constant penalty notices for not having the correct radio channel tuned. How do I know what the correct channel is? It would help if the text pop up actually told you!

Looking ahead to the retail release, we know there are steam locomotives in the full game, but what about diesels? Are we getting any and if so is it possible to list what types?

There is a round signal with the text "Rn", where n is the channel number. Example: R2 = Channel 2.

When the game releases you should also get a message in the UI, but that is not working yet in the test build.

In regards to the locomotives, I would like to know as well. Every locomotive I have seen so far was electric, and I think some trailers on Steam have steam locomotives. Where are the diesels? Are there any diesels even?

am i the only one who gets the following whenever i start the sim (started happening yesterday)

A feature not implemented on the multiplayer tests perhaps... but i'm thinking this is hinting at saves being available on single player?

Well, that's some heavy speculation, since you don't know what it is actually syncing. Could just be the Player Profile data, since now your level sems to actually increase in-game.

Well it does specifically say saves unless it's a generic message.

I really don't understand why the devs can't just come on and openly say whether or not save game is possible in SP. At this point regardless of yes or no it's a done deal so please put us out of our curiosity!

The Devs are already answering tons of questions and releasing daily updates.  They tend to focus more on the bugs and ideas sections.  Perhaps posting there will help as they have to approve everything before it is allowed to show up then they flag it.  I have a hard enough time myself keeping up with this forum on a daily basis.

My only guess is the playtest is going to become obsolete when this is released and they don't want anything on the cloud to allow progression.  I don't think they can force it off your system but I'm not sure how Steam works as I've never been part of a prerelease trial before on Steam.
