K Kawa Posted yesterday at 11:11 AM Posted yesterday at 11:11 AM After purchasing the DLC and updating Simrail, I haven't been able to even start a scenario. For some reason, RAM consumption has skyrocketed and I personally can't play the game. It constantly freezes/crashes. I had no problem whatsoever prior to the DLC update. What's going on?
Gazz292 Posted yesterday at 04:14 PM Posted yesterday at 04:14 PM is that showing just over 3MB used on your SimRail application? I regularly get nearly 25MB in use with SimRail, then with the rest of the windows stuff that has to run i regularly see over 30MB in use.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel Posted yesterday at 04:33 PM Posted yesterday at 04:33 PM Running the same as it was before the release of the DLC for me.
hoppturee- Posted yesterday at 04:47 PM Posted yesterday at 04:47 PM It seems you only have 4GB of RAM. Try upgrading that to the minimum requirement of 8GB. Also, judging by the disk usage, it seems your game is stored on an HDD. Upgrading to an SSD (even the cheapest ones) might massively improve the performance. @Gazz292 You meant GB, not MB. 2
Gazz292 Posted yesterday at 04:55 PM Posted yesterday at 04:55 PM i did indeed mean GB, my mind must be living in the 1990's when a few meg of memory was enough to play the most demanding simulators of the time. 2

That's the whole point, my pc has 8 GB RAM and Simrail is stored in my SSD. Never before had this overconsumption of resources. It always performed quite good until now Edited 23 hours ago by K Kawa
