BigVern
Just wondered if the full game will include seasonal textures, e.g. snow on the ground and trees, structures etc. in winter and autumn leaf textures in the... autumn?

I hope not. Look at TSW, it's appalling. Better to create a map only at certain times of the year would make sense.
Gazz292
From the steam page : The quality of the graphics... thanks to use of Unity game engine allows you to lose yourself in the virtual world. The grass and trees moving depends on the wind, dynamic weather system with puddles and snow drifts, living world with animated passengers connected with scenarios randomization. : : I think we need to get away from looking at how that tsw game screws things up, and hope that SimRail does things properly, This is a brand new simulator built from the ground up, not a re-hash of content from decades old railworks. 1
giBBer8
Really got to stop comparing what DTG is doing, over Simrail. I can see this turning into the railway version of the pointless "my flight sim is better than your flight sim" handbag fight.

Gazz292
I'm guilty of comparing RailSim to that tsw game a lot... as you notice i consider tsw a game more than a simulation, but here i was talking about not to expect SimRails winter textures will be crap just because tsw's are, firstly they are using 2 different game engines, then SimRail has the advantage of being something new, built from the ground up, not something thats based on previously released content for an earlier game. TheShotte
Regardless of the engine, the game will look as good as the artists make it look. It's that simple.
SurvivorSean
As well as the progrmmers and the team for listening and updating. I think the biggest comparison is this team seems very dedicated. Yes there are going to be issues it's real early but this is worthy of an early access title right now as in many ways it's simply one of the best sims out there. When I first heard of this earlier this year I noticed all the cool features and I thought well that looks cool but can it feel real. This past week has shown me this is very real and I'm glad to be here for the ride. It's the main fixture right now on my YouTube channel and I thank all the new subscribers and those from Poland who have joined in the chat to help me and others out. I sincerely hope this team gets rewarded with plenty of buys for all their hard word very very soon. Thanks Sean
