EVC: not connected on one occasion

I ran into a problem yesterday on my first attempt at the new scenario, where the EVC failed to connect after the final cab change and I could never get it to reconnect. I accidentally left the recording on, however, so I have a messy 7 minute video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQNhEd6l7b4
Subsequently, I continued on with the scenario (with isolated ETCS and dark DMI), however the game thought I was still shunting (25 kph limit after passing the 40 kph aspect) and it ultimately ended with -1000 points at the next blue signal. I have attached the log as well.

(On the second try, there were no problems. There are only minor differences between how I operated, so I don't think it'd help to isolate what went wrong.)
