Czechia uses two different flash frequencies for example.

I answered to the other of your topic where you basically just asked the same question.

Short answer: Yes. Here is a Polish video about the function. They are called "dyspozytor": This why I like to make a difference between the term signaller and dispatcher when we are talking about the thing here in Europe. This of course doesn't apply to all countries here but I for sure know for Germany and I assume the basics at least are similar for Poland. So there are signallers who are operating the signal boxes and are pretty much responsible to guide the trains safely to their right destination by operating their signalling equipment. Also the signallers should usually be those who decide what happens within station limits. They choose which trains enters first and they choose track/platform according to the situation. Also they do the shunting. Dispatchers supervise the operational process by either getting irregularity reports from the signallers via phone or if in place by the train numbering system which they can overview with a grahpical real-time timetable and a schematic line overview. There are multiple dispatching areas withing a regional section. Dispatchers are mostly meant to supervise the open lines between station limits. So the data you enter into your real-time schedule ingame would probably be transferred to a dispatcher as well as the other signallers. This data will be used to make operational decisions. In my country the system receives time data automatically if there is a train numbering system equipment in the signal box. Dispatchers in Poland probably have those tasks among others: • Observing flow of trains • Order overtakings/wrong line running • Agreeing to planned engineering works with restrictions for trains • Communication with train operating comany/railway undertakings • Creating opertational incident reports and assign delays/trains to incidents • Taking operational measurements if required such as diversion of trains to bypass failures or similar So in real life there is communication between signaller and dispatcher mostly regarding the queue of trains and in case of a failure. Either the dispatcher asks the signaller to rearrange the queue of trains (overtaking) or the signaller tells the dispatcher about a failure/engineering work and they will try to handle the situation while the dispatcher will feed it into the systems. Incident reports basically describe the failure and can be used e.g. for statistical reasons. Also railway undertakings might be entitled to refunds by the network operator in case there is e.g. a points failure. So the system will know which trains were affected and how much delay the built up so that the refund can be calculated. The other way around the infastructur operator is also entitled to money by the railway undertaking if they cause a delay.

There is a way to handle this: Use the "dKo" button before giving out the replacement signal. But if you find the post already in this state, it is too late. You can only operate "Ko" if the signal was cleared, fell back to danger and the train as passed a contact behind the entry signal. The contact makes the white light appear next to "Ko". If you give out replacement signal or (not implented yet) a written order, you have to operate "dKo", to tell the contact that there is a train approaching. (At least this is how I know the principle from Germany). After operation of "dKo" the white light next to "Ko" will eventually light up and you can confirm arrival as usual.

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the realism/grade of detail of simulated signal boxes according to the original. tl;dr in the end. On semaforek.kolej.org it is stated, that the signal boxes in Katowice Zawodzie are actually two mechanical signal boxes. Is Semaforek outdated, or are they to be replaced soon and you already did it ingame? Or are we going to have mechanical signal boxes in Zawodzie after some time? Regarding the same source, the signal box in Dąbrowa Górnicza is called a relay-computer interlocking. On most pictures online the signalling for "przekaźnikowo-komputerowe" screen looks a bit older, more pixelated for those. Is it planned change the appearance? I think MOR-1 also uses that screen. (In case you have experience with TD2, it looks a pretty much like SPE). Zawiercie is still W.I.P. and I think it is cool to (probably) have a more complex station in the playtest already! It looks quite nice so far. The screenshot seems to show a E-type Panel, while Semaforek states that it is an IZH-111 interlocking which has a bit different appearance and operation. Are we going to see IZH-111 in the future? So pretty much tl;dr: Are signalling equipment subtypes like IZH-111, MOR-1, OSA(-H) going to be generalized in the kind of panel/screens we already have in the playtest or are the subtypes going to become a thing with future development?

The oWbl command is used if you operated Wbl and want to cancel it again, before any route has been cleared. Maybe because your neighbour changed his mind and wants his train to depart first or whatever. oWbl command is not supposed to be used to bring the line back into neutral state after a train has entered the section. This has to be done by the neighbouring signaller who will confirm the arrival of the train by operating Ko on his signal box, because he has to check train integrity on arrival. However, if we are talking about automatical block signalling (SBL), the line will not go into neutral state after a train movement and it is not really neccessary. oWbl command should only be able to used there, if you used Wbl and the arrow is stil flashing in the neighbours direction (meaning the SBL is turned off).

Why do I lose points for not stopping freight services?
oli806 replied to pschlik's topic in General Discussion
Stops for freight services are mostly optional though as already stated. The best thing for especially heavy freight trains is being able to carry on all the way, saves a lot of energy and time that would take it to accelerate again. Overtakings, breaks and things like this are dispatched spontaneously outside the timetable most times. For the marked freight train there should have been an entry "pt" in the "stop type" column which means that this is an optional stop. If it was for "ph" in this column that would mean that there is an non-optional stop for passengers, which is not allowed to be departed from early. -
Hello, I noticed that there is no indication of electrified lines on the panels in Lazy Lc and Bedzin. I am used to see a small black line next to those tracks, that are electrified. Will those be added? Thanks

Ah, also wondered about this one. Is there any additional equipment or buttons in the signal box that show the working/failure of the level crossing or is it just a level crossing guard that was cut out from the gameplay due to simplification?

Create private voice chat between dispatcher and trains
oli806 replied to riki246's topic in Suggestions for improvements
Railway communication for drivers is mostly done via the radiotelefone. It allows to communicate with other trains, signal boxes and guards. Calls are not private, everybody in the radio chanel can actually hear those talks. I assume that it is different on lines that are equipped with GSM-R. Communication there works technically similar to civil mobile phones and people do not communicate in open channels but in single phone calls, but those are mostly not mobile phones. In my country train drivers have mobile phones to communicate with the train staff and their (vehicle/transportation) dispatch, maybe they use it like that in Poland too. -
train information / properties for locomotive driver
oli806 replied to TrainEngineer's topic in Suggestions for improvements
To avoid getting a light engine do not choose train described with an L in front (like LTE). Freight trains are described as Txx (like TME) or similar. Letters L and T describe the polish words for light engine or train. -
train information / properties for locomotive driver
oli806 replied to TrainEngineer's topic in Suggestions for improvements
When driving the E186 as a light loco I get the impression that the indirect breaking system is very slow-acting, as if it was in G mode. Is there any way to set the breaking mode of the loco? Or at least to adjust it automatically, because it feels odd to drive a light loco that breakes like a whole long freight train. -
Hello, the inspection chart seems to be a bit wrong. First of all it says "REY" intstead of "REV" for revision. Second issue is, that the date of the last revision is written as 08.02.08. From what I remember, the revision is valid for 6 years only and can be extended for a few years under certain circumstances. So the Traxx's revision is due since 2014. Thanks

Hello, the signal box SG in Sosnowiec is placed just next to the Piłsudskiego overpass, that apparently has a tram running on it. If you take a look, there is just a sand texture on where the tram tracks should be. Is it planned to implement the tram tracks in future? Maybe even with AI trams running on it?

Güterzug Annahme Anleitung für Lazy Lc Stellwerk
oli806 replied to Vanrandalos's topic in Allgemeine Diskussion [DE]
kleine Ergänzung: Die kleine grüne Lampe neben dem Gleis ist der Fahrtmelder vom Nachbarstellwerk, daran kann man auch erkennen, ob das Nachbarstellwerk sein Signal auf Fahrt gestellt hat. -
It is a part of the line block, which is the interface between two signal boxes. With Po you will tell the technology and the next signal box that there is a train on the section. Task of the neighbouring station is now, once the train has arrived to unlock the line again. But the train has to arrive completely, so that this can happen. But if the neighbouring station is getting clogged up, the train can possibly not arrive. So there is really nothing you can do about it, except try to offer a train to this line and wait what the response ist.
